      I ordered new front tires yesterday so I could tuck, but plans have obviously changed now that the wheels are gone (just sold today). The VIP's were cut for my previous SRT, so I lost some size on the outer barrel due to the Brembos. With this new 300, I can go with a larger outer barrel with the smaller brakes. Looking forward to the next set!

      • i love this sooooo much its unbelievable. seeing this combined with the feature on elvis's srt charger on stance nation has really made me take a serious look at these big body chrysler vehicles as my next vehicle.

                  Elvis gets a lot of criticism on the LX forums for it, but continues to pursue his own vision (which is what most all of us do this for, ourselves). One of the cleanest Charger's out there in my opinion.

                  I'm in Wilmington. We have a Cars & Coffee here that I attend regularly, but I also make it up to Charlotte and Raleigh for various meets/events. I've been up to Virginia for a few meets as well. I'm sure I'll see you around at some point!

                  • I'm currently working with four manufacturers on design/finish/fitment for my next set of wheels. Now that the car's back on stock wheels, I don't mind having it down for a few days. So I'm going to gut the trunk this weekend and get started on the hardlines.

                    Here's the last shot of how it sat after the initial install. I have all of my pressure fittings, check valves, copper tubing and pipe bender/cutter to start the job. I'm going to start with eliminating the braided leader lines from the Viair compressors. That'll clean things up quite a bit. Then I'm moving on to the manifold to see if I can come up with an exposed line solution vs. running the soft line under the tank and into the 90 degree unions under the false floor. I'm also going to work on eliminating the soft line running from the tank to the manifold. We'll see how it goes. If it ends up looking too busy, I'll just keep the hardlines for the compressors and call it good for now. There's not a lot of room under there, but I've seen people do hardlines in smaller spaces than this. I'll get some progress pics up as things come along.

                        I made a little progress tonight mapping out the hardlines. I used the cheap coiled copper to do my test pieces. I have straight lengths of grade L copper that I'll be using on my final pieces. I'll also be buffing those to a high polish. I was thinking about trying to tackle the manifold as well, but I think it would look WAY too busy if I tried to hardline them. Regardless, I think these four lines look good for now. Don't mind some of the short/long cuts, as the final pieces will be cut to length after all of my fittings are put on my compressors/tank. I'll put up some more pics as I get more done.

                              Made some more progress tonight. There are definitely some tweaks I'd like to make, but overall I'm pleased. I wanted a concealed e-Level setup, but I still wanted it to look clean when the spare tire cover was opened up. I still need to strip it all out again to clean up the false floor and box that houses all of the wiring (mainly re-carpeting everything), but I'll put up new pics as that comes along:

                              SMC check valves and Parker compression fittings installed at the compressor and tank. Final bends made with the grade L copper. Still not polished in this picture:



                              Gave it a quick spin with a 100% white wool 3M Perfect-It pad and 3M Perfect-It Rubbing Compound:

                              You can see the 1/4" schrader drain behind the compressor. I wanted something simple that would make it easy to drain the tank. I originally had it running out of the bottom of the car, but didn't like the thought of having to put the car on ramps and get on a creeper just to drain a few ounces of water out of the tank every few weeks. This may change, I haven't decided yet:

                              • The new wheels are underway! I'll post up some pics when they're cut.

                                21" x 10" concave step lip fronts (5.5" outer, 4.5" inner)
                                21" x 12" super concave step lip rears (7" outer, 5" inner)

                                The 21's will allow me to get the car closer to the ground when it's laid out, and considering I don't have a kit to fill the gap, this is a welcomed change. The wheels will have a brushed face, polished windows, chrome outer barrel, gloss black inner barrel, brushed center caps, and chrome hardware. I'll keep the thread updated as things progress.
