Me too bud
I have great news! My car is love and well. I fixed my problem. My pressure plate wasn't tight enough.

Hopefully, we can get it on the road this week!! I'll go to the parts place and check the length of the slide on the other 5 speed cars, if the torquing doesn't fix it.

Good News
Well, for all the S|W members who was pissed that i still haven't put the rear wheels on yet, Be intrigue.
I just sold the old rear 4 Lug knuckles for 200.00(thanx guy) and i will be installing the rear hubs and tires this week!!!
No other choice.
Also, i fell to realize that I improperly installed my clutch kit (not fully torqued).
Trans drop #3
So, tonight i'll go to HF to get a torque wrench and torque down all the pressure plate bolts. Hopefully that will solve my engaging issue...

Thanx for the input bud. I'll check them out, because my clutch pedal isn't as firm as i would like. Also, i've never heard of the bolt on brackets. you have a link?Originally posted by C-Hutch View PostGoodridge makes all kinds of parts. I ordered the parts for a line like that from a motorcycle racing website and built a clutch line out of brake line parts. And you know they make bolt in conversion mounts right? though I guess it's a little late for that haha. I love the stumps too. Now THAT is working with what nature makes available.
I thought you knew the tree stumps was the next trendy thing to do
Yea me too, but we'll seeOriginally posted by brsteinbach View PostLooking awesome man, I can't wait to see updates with the 5 speed all in and the 5 lug covo done with the other wheels on.
So, the car was back together and i drove it (kinda), but the clutch wouldn't fully engage. We tried to place a longer shaft on the slave cylinder. still didn't work. Then, we shortened it until we came to the conclusion, that i need to pull the trans
Today, Yogi_Bear and i had some yard work
to do before we pulled the tranny, so we got most of the work done. Tomorrow, we'll drop the trans and clean the flywheel(wasted oil it) re install the new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. I wanted to buy another clutch fork but no autoparts store carried it.

If, they requested the right part, i should have it by Thursday
(fingers crossed). Thursday, i will be picking up my rear spindles to complete my 5 lug conversion.
If the weather holds off until late Friday, i can have the rear five lug complete. Saturday morning i will get started on the rest of my trans install.
Does anyone know a place or website where i can order an 8 ft Stainless Steel(SS) brake line with 10mm male and 12mm male screw-in fitting?

Progress
This the only photo of before i cut the bracket off

after cutting it off

grinded down and ready for custom brackets :bouncy:

bracket outline

some savvy cutting w/ a skillsaw combo

The bracket cut out, before i tapped the holes with a Titanium step bit

for thickness sake

(p.s 4 lug wheels makes a good stand for the car haha)
Sorry i didn't take any pix of it welded on.. I ran into so many problems with other stuff. i stop taking pix:shrug:
5 Lug progression
rear 98 prelude knuckle

don't you love these
stripped screws

this does't work better than drilling out the hole haha

hub off donor spindle

cleaning time

Professional work booth

Idk if you can see it but the shaft on my spindle was too large.
:
now it's like this haha

This is proof i own the other two wheels haha

I went to the JY with Yogi_Bear and picked up the right spindles to mount the hub. So, now i just need tires
Thanx for viewing until next time
