I wanted to wait till after the new year, but I am considering throwing it in this weekend. I have everything needed for reassembly, but I need the following before it can run:Originally posted by ChristopherJason View PostWaiting for the mounting of that engine !!
5mge oil pan/pick up (from my current motor), have to tap the pan as well for the return on the oil cooler.
Swap mounts from old motor
One more knock sensor (PO broke it having the motor sit)
Oil cooler / lines
30 feet of new vacuum lines
FMIC/piping
Wiring harness in good shape
Modify harness to be plug in play with my chassis harness.
then live rear axle slides around corners!

Yeah, as long as you're sure the ol' Cressida is reliable then go for it!Originally posted by electricalbox View Post
LOL relaibility FTW!
I modded my 08 GTI, but I want something old I can wrench on and not be financially damning. I have had tons of cars, but this wagon will fit all the needs I have been looking for with all the others. Also planning to sell the GTI so I can put more on a downpayment for my house.StatusRacing.com

Helicoiled some of the studs yesterday...one doesn't hold, looks like they tried it before. I threw some jb weld in with the helicoil and left it overnight. Here is to wishful thinking...
Was going to install the digital dash today, but I am going to check out some wheels on my lunch, don't think I will get much done in the dark, but we will see tonight.

If this wagon were a boxer, it would be competing in the walterweight class.
...I suck at jokes today.

Love the build though! Keep it up!

Picked these up on my lunch break, not much to get specifics, but I will have more updates later. Appear to be 4x110 16x7/8 et20, planning to run 30mm adpater making them et-10.

I lol'd, and I will use that now.Originally posted by FluidMotorUnion View PostIf this wagon were a boxer, it would be competing in the walterweight class.

Thank you sir!Originally posted by hetzyhetz View Postoh this is nice.
Thank you, it is quite easy and fulfilling to build it yourself. If you have any questions lmk, but my design is pretty striaght forward. Just FYI I used joist hangers and on the middle two shevles I didn't screw them in (just resting on the hangers, but very sturdy). It allows for easy removal on larger wheel/tire set ups.Originally posted by AMGwheelwhore View PostLove the wheel rack! Im about to build myself one this weekend. Awesome wagon as well
BTW here is how I did it for others:
In total for wood I got 6 2x4x 8' and 2 2x3x8. Two of the 2x4 and both 2x3 were cut in half to make the rows (4'). The other four 2x4x8 got cut into 2x4x6 leaving four 2x4x2' (two left as is and two cut into the four needed 2x4x1').
It is not to hard, side frames are just 2"x4" x 6' with 2"x4" x 1' centers. Build these two and put a 2"x4" x 2' on the bottom to keep it up in the air. On the ends facing inward add joist hangers every 24" apart starting with the first as low as possible (top is only 20 IIRC). I used 2x4" x 4' on the top/bottom connecting the sides and 2x3" x 4' for the middle two shelves. The 2x3" are removable and just sit in the hangers, while the top/bottom 2x4" are permanent and screwed in. The top row the joist hangers are not 12" apart, but 10" to help with balance.
These measurements make each storage are 2' / 4' wide / 12" deep. Since the of the sides has 2x4" x2' it adds 2" lip on the bottom and keeps the wheels from touching the wall out back. Overall dimensions are 6'2" tall, 4'2" wide, 2" deep.

Thank you sir, yah I am debating going bigger on the wheels, problem is sizing everything up. I don't want stretched tires on my wagon, and the wheels are 16x7 (1" lip) 16x8 (1.5" lip) et18 all around. Since they are 4x108 I will need adapters since I don't want to redrill, this will make them et -10 all around which will look nice.Originally posted by NZ BRO View PostStep dem lips.
