    Hey, girls and guys.

So, i picked up this beauty from a good friend of mine.
It was used in the German "Bundeswehr" until 1994.

First of all, the rust has to go!
You will see in the next post. :P

In the end it should look something like this:

So the rusty business has begun.

Didn't looked so bad on the outside.

I **** it when people just put new steel over old rust, without removing the rusty bit before. :x

Actually i meant swapping the Front and Rear, not the Engine.

Maybe getting 2.0 Typ4 for the Power.

Nice bus, good to see another Bay on her besides me haha.

oh and about power, I have looked into it and they sell something called a "camper special" it comes with a cam , crank some other odds and ends and it gives you like 90hp total lol. But what i would do is get a 2.0 block and bore it out/ stroke it to like a 2.5 l ( they sell the kits on cip1) and get some dual 2 barrel carbs, a high performance cam (the ratio depends on whether you want high end or low end acceleration) like for me I'm getting a .275 duration cam for low and mid range. and i would do a performance exhaust since it sounds better, and also Replace the heads if you bore them, and get bigger valves.

All this is what i would do, just trying to help a fellow bus guy

                            Hey guys,

today some parts arrived for the bus.
Mostly sheet metal. But also some engine sealings to get the 1.6 running atleast.
More parts on the way (hopefully).

Gonna cut out more rust tomorrow and hopefully the welding can begin soon.

Only had the mobile ready for pics today.
