i had that in mind but from what ive heard the e12 gives higher compression. not sure how true this is but ive seen it said here and there. will definately use the piano's, as the piano is only 1.5mm tall, as oppose to the 4mm tall dome top on the other pistons. hoping to get the compression down with a MLS gasket. the lower CR i can get the happier i'll be. Also how much do HX35's go for in america? theyre nowhere to be found in western australia, so im probably gonna be stuck using a t3.

so i finished my last exam today. in my super lazy uni-free time i came up with this. can you spot S|W??

then i got bored so i got out the sander and got to work on some of the side panel and boot. side had no rust thankfully but the boot had a bout 6 layers of paint on it so its taking a bit longer ito take it back. long story short, white paint went on special for $2. so i etch primed over the old white paint, then painted white. then blue went on special for $2 so i etched and painted again. i wish i didnt. anyway i took the odd pic here and there. i also tried getting motivated enough to clean the rest of the glue off the interiour but that failed after 5 mins. it was too hot.

unfortunately the tail lights were f****d. cut out the fiberglass/rust and got left with about 5% of the frame left

sprayed more roof. i still need to take out the glass but im in a lazy mood today. unfortunaely afew bricks dropped off the roof and left some nice little dents. i had some "suncure" epoxy resin thati used to patch up my surfboard left over so i tried it out. requires sanding down but worked a treat. reacts to UV light and fully cures in 5 mins if its in direct sunlight. thankfully it was 37 degrees (thats 98 for those who work in faren) with no clouds. its solid aswell.

so this thing completely died as ive been focusing on my ute for a while now. its been neglected for too long and dad said that if nothing was gonna happen it had to go. so out came a few tools and some paint. hoping to ge this thing rolling again in the next few weeks.

rattle canned the rims. they will only be temporary but still wondering what will look better. tried out some shorter shocks from my dads e30, took out the front subframe, removed the engine, did lots of grinding and started on some welding. just trying to get the bay all cleaned up (shaving and welding etc), and getting the insiide cleaned and primed. engine bay still has a bit too go, but i spent the past 2 days covered in underseal. HORRIBLE JOB!!!! aim is to replace all the bushings and mounts, repaint the subframes, clean the gearbox and get her rolling again. some shitty phone pics. (if you're wondering why i have copious amounts of PC and xboxes, i repair them as a part time job at a local electronics repair shop. i have 487657078486945 spares)

played with a rattle can and some shorter shocks

trying to clean up the pile of crap

always keep bricks handy for temp stands. dont worry they have been replaced with proper ones,

got around to giving my welder a good blast. its my favourite purchase this year

steering rack and a bunch of other stuff in boxes

started cutting the struts to get them ready for sleeves.

subframe and found billies in the front )))

laid a few small beads here and there as im not sure what how strong the subframes are, and with extra power i figured id just be safe. laid about 15 of these here and there just for safe measure

ignoring the horrile lighting and camera quality, i need opinions on wether to go gold or silver. im not usually one for colour. but i dig the gold.

after many flap discs i stopped here as i ran out of fresh discs.

i dont know why i dont just buy the same colour primer each time :/

                        dash is all out

just need to get the last of the glue off the floor, then i can prime that side.

got a little over half way

welded up some stuff and got some bondo over it. i will sand later.

I WILL NEVER EVER DO THIS AGAIN. removing underseal with a flasp discs. thank god for respirators....and its still not all done

starting to get the bay ready for paint. bit of primer on what has been done.

slowly but surely she will get there

will try update a bit more regularly now, but i have 4 tests for university in the next 2 weeks so work will be slow.

Nice man, loving the progress. Don't give up on it, you've come a long way with it. Once its done you'll be glad you kept it. Also on the wheels I like the gold depending on what color you are going with.

got a bit more done today. cleand up the passenger side and got some promer on it. i missed a few little spots here and there so ill need to reclean them, and the footwell needs some welding done. ran out of etch primer and my fav local auto store was closed so i had to use a different brand....and it had to be a diff shade of grey. @DANNYE32- yes i know, i'm just trying to toss up wether to clean the area and then just weld up the holes, or to cut it out and weld in some new metal. i **** rust.
Aslo car will be painted plain old white. i like the simple look

White with gold will look classy, I'd vote for that if it were me.
