the shifter ergonomics seem just fine for a car like this. it doesnt feel like a reach, but its no sports car.

That's good then. Someone else with a manual-converted E23 had mentioned it once, but maybe he just had short arms.

P.S. do you find that sunroof visor thing actually useful? Mine was scratched and purple and I took it off to respray my e23, is it worth putting back on?

I have one on mine and I've had a few others of the same type on old Saabs. I always find the paint scratched to heck underneath the rubber gaskets where dirt gets in (and it will). I think I wouldn't recommend putting it back on after a respray.

thanks! the dash will be coming out next to finish a few tid bits of the wire tuck, and to repair the cracks. that should keep me busy before it gets paint.

Man I absolutely love this build thread!! Your car is my car's role model!! I just recently got a E23 from my dad as a birthday gift... It has been sitting since 2006 and needed a little TLC, but passed smog straight up! Anyhow...I drooolzz over your bags and wheels!!! I have a drift car already, now I am working on a slow cruiser I can carry my baby in ;D
