Quote train for this page!
That's what I said when I got the rear wheels to finally clear the fender. With no camber adjustment, it was cutting it close.Originally posted by Rali@BagRiders View PostWowzer

yes! That's the combo right there. Nice ride. If this motor ever takes a crap on me, I'll be dumping an m62 in it.Originally posted by turbo_nine View PostLooks good! I'm gearing up for a manual swap into my 745i turbo, so this thread is great encouragement.Originally posted by KielanI've had a lot more fun in my Dad's Prius than I care to admit.

Do you find the ergonomics weird with regard to the shifter? It's been since 2004 that I drove a manual E23 (so I forget) and the console seems wide enough that it might be kind of a reach.Originally posted by NegativeCamber View Postyes! Anyway, you might be waiting a while for the M30 to blow, especially since you've sorted out the top end oiling.

the shifter ergonomics seem just fine for a car like this. it doesnt feel like a reach, but its no sports car. im not looking to do any motor swaps anytime soon, so i would like it to run forever. i just worry sometimes that it wont pass CA smog, as these early motronics need the motor to be sealed tighter than tight.Originally posted by turbo_nine View PostDo you find the ergonomics weird with regard to the shifter? Best e23 definitely
Any paint plans in the future?
P.S. do you find that sunroof visor thing actually useful? Mine was scratched and purple and I took it off to respray my e23, is it worth putting back on?Last edited by Stupid Kid; 06-06-2013, 07:40 PM.

Yea, the paint isnt in good condition so that's what I am currently saving for. I'm not doing a respray, but a total color change. The car will have to be completely stripped and will give me an opportunity to take care of some other things when the time comes. So for now there has been a bit of downtime. I don't notice much of a difference with the sunroof windguard, but for now it adds a different look to the car.Originally posted by Stupid Kid View PostBest e23 definitely

thanks man. I can't wait to get it in the paint booth and finish the exterior once and for all. Nice screen name.
