this set of wheels is going to spark what really needs to be done with this thing.
Honestly, I think you're misled as to what constitutes a 'track car'.

it's a build man. i wouldn't run that camber on a track first off, and secondly all i did was put wheels on the car. the cobalt is known for doing well on the track, and with my coilover setup, some mods to the control arm bushings (i have plans, legit ones) and a little more work to the rear i think it would kill on a road course even with obscene fitment. 240's do it all day why can't i?

personally i think you are trying too hard. Nothing rat rod about it at all except maybe that its dirty and you are using zipties to put broken peices back together. I think your old fartcan painted black with a little poke looked better than what youve got now but thats just me.
the wheels are meh. But I don't really like the corvette wheels on any car besides a corvette. Yours would probably be the first i'd say i can agree with the decision to put them on being that its a chevy. There's even a guy in my crew who has some. I don't like em but thats his car and his decision. People think they look good. I'm just not crazy about them
Its your car do what you like. I **** cobalts, so its hard to make me a lover of your car but i'm not gonna **** on you just cuz you drive a cobalt. But being "different" by modding a cobalt won't keep you from getting ***** either. just sayinLast edited by bigtoepfer; 11-19-2010, 09:20 AM.Hopeless Romantics

can we cut te zip tie ends off tho for real? unless ur useing them for curb feels so u dont curb ur new wheels, but i doubt they they are loud enough for all thatOriginally posted by M.BurroughsI'd have to say this site was founded on building the cars we wanted to build, despite if the rest of the car community liked it or not. This site was founded on freedom of automotive self expression and the passion that goes in to each and every build... This site is about doing what you like, whatever makes you happy, and not caring about what other people think...

and just to be clear, i don't care that my fitment is "too much" or there's too much camber or whatever. i didn't do it get on hella flush or anything, i just like the look so like i said criticism is cool but don't take me for some fool just throwing wheels, coils and lips on cars to get some street cred. i guarantee none of a certain few posting here have never custom adapted coilovers or done a mini tub on your fender wells. it took a lot of work to get where i am, and i don't expect a standing ovation or a trophy but i am happy with my work and all of you paying for labor rates at shops, well, i win that one.
