thanks man, It would look gnarly in glossy black, i think ill rock this until the rest is finished and then maybe paint it the original greenish color, but then again I feel it might lose some of its soul if i strip the rest of the original paint off.Originally posted by G535 View PostI knew this is an AZ car when i looked at the first picture
yup, palm trees are like big weeds around here, I had to chop them down...
Looking great so far..id love to see it painted high-gloss black with like 10 coats of clear

,
messing around with a different hood in this pic

freakin messy garage
They are Salt Flat Specials; American Racing custom shop wheels ordered to your specifications
Im going to end up buying different tires but I think, narrower for the front and taller for the rearLast edited by octobeak; 01-17-2012, 09:27 AM.

Ive been waiting for a websight about lowness for awhile, there is a couple of older truck builds on here that look pretty sick... I've got an older car thats getting an evolutionary change into this realm as well...
Thanks a lot guys!

I'm just trying to keep afloat with all of my projects, I'm pulling the tires from my 17x7's to put a little stretch on them, I hope the fit because the look the part. The problem is the offset, to fit inside the stock sheetmetal it will require some heavy rolling of fenders. This truck looks wide but its all an illusion, thats why ive run spares up front to this point.

I think with the new status of my chevelle the 17's are moving to the ford. I have to test fit them again to make sure the rims fit the front, they are only 17x7 but have some offset so I think Im going to try some 195-40-17's. not sure if that will be stretched enough though, what do u guys think?

I put the salt flats on again to see if I could run them with a slightly lower profile tire, shown is a 215-50-17, soon to be replaced with 195-40-17 to see if I can still steer.

I love my wheel option so I got these vintage 70's basket weaves

Im digging the look and fitment even though they are 14x7.5

really great shape for the age, now I need to see if the fit the chevelle
