Well after getting really sick for over a week and talking crazy amounts of drugs/steroids i'm back to 100% and at a healthy enough status to continue to wrench back on the truck.
The frame was stripped all the way down to bare metal, repaired all of the rust/rot and then repainted the frame. It looks brand new BUT ill post pics once its all done.
While i was sick i got around to getting part numbers and ordered all BRAND NEW parts. Got new ABS Wheel Speed Sensors, all CA Nuts/Bolts, Arm Shafts, Bearings ect. I also picked up some new fittings and line since i went from 1/2 line to 3/8 line.
Looking to have it off the jacks this weekends and laying frame in the driveway!
Follow me in Instagram for quicker/better updates.
Once that was done, i pieced the rest of it together.
- Re-packed all the new bearings on the rotors
- Basically replaced every nut and bolts on everything up front
- New ABS Wheel Speed Sensors
- New Brake Pads
I still need to build shock mounts and weld them up on the frame and ALSO going to make an adjustable sway bar as well. Plus i need to cut out the spring pocket as well.
loving this build man, it's half the reason I come onto the forum these days!
I'm considering bagging my ute one day and this has been the inspiration for it.
keep your tire size at 24 inches tall or less to be able to lay frame with the inners still in.you also need to cut that spring pocket out.
Yeah i know. The pockets will get cut out more once the truck actually moves. I opened them up a little just to get everything bolted/fitted up but ill have to take it all apart again anyway once i run the final lines, shock mounts ect.
