For the sake of my back, I'll be retrofitting a set of coilovers

It has everything minus springs. This is how the car is going to sit though. Buying everything to get it running next week. Including a set of tires. Need to start fitting it for 18's or 19's.

Then why did you say that you took out suspension?

As in "removed the springs" Im guessing. They are double wishbone all around I do believe (correct me if im thinking of a another jag). some hot rodders chop the front and rear clips off these and use them, as they are easy to adapt to old iron.

actually the rear set up is similar to an 03 cobra:

the front set up is just an upper and lower control arm with the spring in between and the shock off to the side.

wow I never knew these didn't have an upper control arm in the back. The only bummer is you need 6 coilovers! haha. I can't wait to see what you come up with dude.

                  UPDATE:

so this is how she sits now with new tires:

195/65/15 instead of 205/75. now i can actually turn the wheel and doesnt rub.

so far i've done spark plugs, cap and rotor, plug wires, starter, injector clips, fuel cell (both gas tanks were rotted through), and fuel filter. now she fires up every time. drove down the road and the oil pan was dragging the whole way. ended up shimming the motor mounts and raised it about 1/2". so now it barely scrapes.

unfortunately i've ran into a couple problems, as expected.
problem #1: in order to start the car i have to manually prime the fuel system. as im priming it i can hear the fuel run up through the fuel rail and into the injectors. after that the car fires right up but once i shut it off and wait a few mins i have to prime it all over again.

problem #2: i'm leaning towards o2 sensor, maf, and possibly a stuck injector or 2. but 5 gallons of gas will let you drive exactly 1 mile and then it's gone. fuel isnt dumping out of the exhaust although it does smell slightly rich.

After a little research I believe I solved one of my issues.

Problem: Having to prime the car to start it.
                          Solution: fuel pressure regulator.
Also, this car is designed to send the extra fuel back to the gas tanks. Since I bypassed them and installed a fuel cell, the gas is going back into the old gas tanks.

lol yeah that makes sense. 5 gallons to the mile would be a little absurd. thats great that you got it to run though . looks like engine had been sitting with the hood open for a while?

well i was wrong, after letting the car sit for two days. i go outside to check for fuel leaks and find that my once empty fuel cell, had about 2 gallons of gas in it. so more than likely the fuel pump is going bad and allowing fuel back into the cell.

all the lines have been redone so no more fuel leaks. now the car needs an alternator, new fuel pump, and a brake light switch. then she'll finally be road worthy.
