Considering that theres a whole thread for oil pans, I would assume you could get a pretty good interpretation about the "unwritten rules" of stanceworks. You never said before that you had any future plans so I still dont know what you expected.

However, id be willing to see what you do with the "stance" and the rest of the car.

Of course you must feel great that you have finally lowered the car, great enough that you have posted it up to show it off. You have lifted a huge amount of weight off your shoulders since the car has been on/off jack stands for the past month and now that is finally over with, etc... But, in my eyes, all I saw was a car that appeared stock with the hype behind it of being slammed.

Just trying to get my point across, hope you can see how I saw your original post. Cheers.

Move to build section if this car is going to receive some stance in the near future.
If it isn't and this is what you consider a thread worthy moment in your father's vehicle's life of being modified, then I would have to say "cool, you lowered a stock bmw an inch"

But I am happy you lowered it properly.
But I would have to say I think you could have gotten a better deal than spending over $1,000 to do so.

Again, I will state, Where does it say that stance is defined as "1/10th of an inch off the ground".
Stance is not set in stone, a Lifted truck running bogger 44's has good stance, a honda civic running bags has good stance. But where does it say that in order to post on this site, my car must meet a pre decided height, look, or theme aside from the minds of a few over zealous individuals?

But yes, we do plan to get a decent set of BBS or A.C Schnitzer rims in the near future, We are also getting some spacers for the front rims to even out the look a little bit.

    @ B rod
I have no qualms with low, I have owned several cars that I had "MM from the ground" In fact I have an 83 scirocco that i plan to drop on bags,
But not the 540, As it is meant to be driven on podunk Tennessee backroads with potholes that could swallow a truck(I can guarantee our roads are as bad as if not worse than anyones who posted in this thread right now, I also routinely travel to Chattanooga for some of the jobs i do, those roads are horrible for lowered cars).

I'll only get defensive when people are offensive, and since my car isn't "stanced" enough for some peoples tastes, EVERYONE is on the offensive.

    @ cocnutt:

In the future I'll try to refrain from posting in the manner i did(Sorry, the thing has been on and off jackstands for the past month getting this and that replaced(IE it has the eternal e34 coolant leak and we have been trying to chase it down), I've done 4 suspension jobs over the last few weeks and this one was the last one i had to do for the next few months.....I was kind of happy about it.....Sorry bout that -.0

Do you plan on giving your car more stance? Do you have intentions of posting something that actually pertains to this website, without getting defensive when it doesn't?

You may be missing what everyone has been saying, noone said your car is "not as low as everyone elses". It just always comes back to the fact that this is place for really low cars, yet you love the fact that your car is not really low... theres absolutely no problem with that, you just may be in the wrong place.

Judgeing from the fact that every post in here is saying my car is "Not as low as everyone elses" I would say yes.

Sure a hell of alot of work goes into the majority of the cars here, and i DO respect that, but i stop respecting people when they disrespect someone elses ride "Just because it isn't like mine"

I mean seriously, if you only want to drop daddys car 1inch why are you on stanceworks? whats wrong with cardomain?
Nothing wrong with cardomain at all.

No, I think y'all just mad.

There is no "expectation" if there was, it would be in a rule book, last i checked the only think stanceworks has regarding "expectations" is the "expectation" that everyone should be just good little cookie cutter car enthusiasts and do "what the cool kids do".

The majority of the posters in here seem to be nothing but posers....Doing what all the other cookie cutters do.

I never assumed i would "get showered with praise" and it is rather naive of you to think i would require anyone to approve of what i do to my own cars. Some people might like it, so i posted it, pretty much the end of the story.

I'm new to this site and don't post much. But the reason you got flamed up is cuz the site is all about STANCE. That car has NO stance at all. It may be a new low for that car but its far from low. And to call peoples cars trailer queens cuz they're dumped is retarded. My oil pan sits 1.5 inches off the ground and i cant fit my hand under my front spoiler. And its my daily, I take it EVERYWHERE.

And truthfuly if your car isn't dumped theres no reason to even be on here but to look. Just sayin....

This can't really be serious. Though I fear it is. Some of the responses may not be very constructive, but posting a car dropped at max 1.2" isn't impressive nor post worthy on this site. Bimmerforums is where this should be posted. I love e34s, and this one is no different. However, this site is stanceworks and dedicated to low cars with low offset wheels. You can't expect compliments on a car that's nearly stock visual wise on a site that thrives on pushing limits.

You would think people in a community like this would be more accepting of mods.

If by bf.c you mean bimmerforums, One could honestly say that they would be far less immature than the crowd here is(With the exception of a few people here and there).

If the mods so desire, move it to the build forum....I honestly wasn't sure which section to put it into.
    EDIT
@jonp28: sorry, eyesights not the best today, allergies and a dark laptop monitor do weird things to colors)
@Alexander : So is mine, lower than stock is still low buddy
