Believe me, I've thought of many different engine scenarios, including various V8's... but I really don't want to put any money whatsoever into the Forester. It's a daily driver... It handles and looks right, and thats good enough for now. If I had unlimited funding it'd be another story, but given I'm a mere mortal I will put everything I have into the Z.

is this from plans off the net or are you designing and making your own? keen to see this 'build' too please

The plans we're using for the bender are from the site below. We've modified the design somewhat, but its more or less as you see it. We've spoken to Frank (the creater of the original) and he says he's bent .25" wall tubing with it, so it will do everything we'll ever need from it and then some. If any one wants to build there own I can send all of the prints for it. Or even build one, either way.

The last couple weeks have been a blur...

I've spent the week days away from work training on our new Romer CMM arms and software. The weekends have been filled with wedding planning and family functions.

This past Saturday I made a trip down to chicago to pick up this bad boy for my little brother (late birthday present). All was well.

Body is rediculously clean, as is the floor pan. Immaculate car. Look for this build in the future....;-)

Later that night (around midnight) on the way back from Milwaukee, my daily driver ('09 Forester) lost oil pressure, and the motor went. I had it towed back up to Oshkosh to the back lot of Bergstrom. Tore into the motor today, and found out the oil pump seized... motor was toast. Pulled off the pan, and here was the result:

Bout that time of the week where things are all going down hill and I happen across this thread again with updated pictures that kicks me in the ass, inspires me to go do something and hope that one day I can build something half as amazing as your half a shell with 4 wheels rolled next to it.. yeah its bout that time :P
