Thanks! For a screamer like the few shown above, the weld time is around 1-1.5 hours. That doesnt include any cutting, fit-up, material prep/polishing. A 4" downpipe is around 2-3 hours of just welding.Originally posted by kabinotar View PostHow long does it take you to weld up one of those pipes? That stuff looks great!

How in the h*ll do I post a video from Flickr? If anyone can help, here's the link ot the vid:

such a sweet build. Jealous of your experience, but thankful that you're sharing the tips/tricks.

What torch are you using? Looks pretty nice and compact - I picked up tiggin' about 5 years ago (then stopped) and finally got myself a tig to learn again. I may have to pick your brain in the future so I can get better. haha

ps: I wanna see the rendering with actual metal being created, almost reminds me of the locost. So get to it!

All of the downpipes and screamer pipes are done without filler, correct.Originally posted by NeedingAnAudi View PostSo are you tig'ing without filler? I would love to learn about your style of welding, I'm trying to get my certs in welding right now.
Also, most of the seams are done using a technique called "walking the cup", which you can see in the vid posted earlier. This results in a much tighter weave... its not the typical row of dimes you usually see, which produces a more robust seam.
I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!SENZA PARI
