Have been on bimmerforums for the past three years posting mainly in the e21 section only, tossing money around and producing what I have envisioned my 1980 320i to be both functional for daily driving and occasional autocross events, as well as a smidge of form for the trendiness that is stance.

I don't feel the forum would allow me to post ALL of the pictures i have documented in one single post, however i will post the highlights and ones i figure Stanceworks would appreciate. Although you're welcome to scope my thread on bimmerforums for the entire highlight thus far: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1057051

    Onto the briefly captioned pictures

Received the 255k mile aged e21 from my sister's bmw friend, apparently had a idle problem so it was parked for ~6 years on a desert ranch in Aguanga, Ca. Poor Honey (previous owner's name for it) was prone to sun damage, dry heat, and rat infestation. Given and towed to my house for free, i was ecstatic to finally have my first car

This is copy and pasted from my bfc thread of what ive done as pictured after this...
    -valve adjustment
    -all new vacuum hoses
-fixed all the cut engine wires
    -new injector bungs
    -refurbished the fuel dizzy
    -new BMW coolant
    -new ignition coil
    -new cap and rotor
    -new 02 sensor and bung
    -new cat
    -new center support bearing
    -new guibo
    -new Sachs Clutch kit
    -new pilot bearing
    -new rear main seal
-new redline gear oil for 5 speed
    -new redline diff fluid
    -new clutch slave cylinder
    -new clutch master cylinder
    -new ATE brake fluid
    -cross drilled and slotted rotors
    -new pads
    -new shoes
    -resurfaced drums
    -new brake cylinders
    -new front bearings and seals
    -polyurethane trailing arm bushings
    -new shifter plate bushing
-new intank and outside fuel pumps
    -new fuel filter
    -10mm spacers all around
-e30 14" basketweaves with center caps
    -195/60/14 Falken Ziex ze912
    -Hella H4 lowbeams
-mounted front bumper rubber strip on front valance
-e30 passenger sideview mirror (didnt have one)
-tinted corner tailights with candy apple translucent spray paint
    -tinted front corners with Niteshades
    -new BMW roundels
-spray painted a few things flat black
-black door cards and black rear seat
    -custom clutch stop

Then came the fun part... got a whole bunch of goodies, not included below are just little fine details for looks.
    new tie rods
    new control arms
    bmp urethane steering rack bushings
    new steering rack boots
    new bilstein sport sturt inserts
    new bilstein sport rear shocks
new shock tower bushings front and rear
painted front sway bar and mounts
    ground control coilovers 350F400R

finally had the stock spring perches cut off and exhaust tubing welded onto my existing strut housing for the coilover sleeve to rest on.

Removed the gas tanks and replaced all the lines as well as cleaned up

obtained a e28 non power seat ebrake console which fits perfectly in that location

purchased some new windshield lockstrips to accent the rest of the chrome on my e21

While it hadnt been washed in awhile, i took the static suspension out for some fun in the dirt

cleaned up and took a mini photoshoot whilst at the storage facility

acquired some new goodies to finish off the suspension, have not yet welded on the rear camber adjustment plates to the subframe. Solid rear mounts and camber plates are in though.

Substituted my 7 month old bilstein sports for vw mk1 sports that are 6" shorter total, same amount of travel, and a 1/2" shorter top stack height. Acheived 1 3/4" more of travel by shortening the strut housings by 2 3/4" and adding a milled out 2 3/4" spacer in the bottom of the strut housing. In result, before i had 3/4" travel and now i have 2 1/2" travel.

Being in college, a student cant really afford to search and pay for a amazing set of true rims, sooo i set out for a look alike that would set off the chrome accents around my e21... esm 001 16x8 et0 with kumho ecsta asx 205/40/16 bring on the **** for fakes

Acquired a non ac console from germany. process starting with the stock ac console.

Purchased a e12 sport large tool kit that was complete with every tool and almost rust free.

Hey! If you dont mind me askin do you have the measurements for the body length of those MK1 shocks? And they're less than 2" diameter aren't they?

Looking good man!!! I used to own an 83 520 when I was stationed in Germany, very similar exterior styling but it was a sedan... it had low mileage for the year (112k -180km's-) and it ran great at over 100 mph in the autobahn & used to handle extremely well, so I know it's a pleasure for you to drive this car.

thanks guys, really only did things here and there for a year and a half, but the past year and a half ive devoted a large part of my daily life to maintaining, upgrading, and having fun with the results
