Okay, after a couple of years of distractions I sold everythign off... Except the celica, the MkII supra and the cressi wagon. I decided to focus on the celica. First up was getting it running and tagged. Slapped on the intake and carb. Installed the gas tank, which had been drained and stored inside when the owner parked the car in 1985!!!! Got a new fuel pump and battery... Presto, she has life. Chopped the springs and installed cressida spare wheels. She sat like this...

I drove her for a bit and then my buddy lost his shop space... My driveway got real full, real fast.

So, I am here with the celica and I really like her, but she is not low enough. The stance bug has bit and what am I to do? Out comes the credit card and up goes the balance. So, in a generous sized bowl, mix some parts from Ebay, some parts from friends and some parts from T3. Shake them up and grind a bit and you get this....

    To which you add this...

And that leaves you with this...

Right now, I have about 2 inches from fender to rim. The Cressida spare wheels are a positive offset. I believe that they are about +20 or so. I know the stock wheels are that, so it only stands to reason that the spare wheels would be the same. Right now, the plan is 16x8 XXR 513s in gunmetal with 195/50s on front and 225/50s out back. Eventually, the plan calls for a 5 lug swap and 1988 Conquest 16x7 and 16x8 rims.
I am still putting the car together. Right now, the interior has more of the 'race car' vibe going on. I gutted the old crappy tan interior and I am slowly replacing it with a black interior. One of the hardest interior parts on these cars to find is the center console. I found a complete celica with a good console and I bought the whole car. Most of the interior will be going in this car once I get it cleaned up and revived.

    That is all for now

started a topic Old School stance

    Old School stance

Okay, I have an intro thread, so it is time for a build thread. I started with this...

I found her just around the corner from work. The owner offered me a deal I just couldn't refuse. So I dragged her home. A couple of weeks later the owner called me and said he had found some parts for her and asked if I wanted them. When he told me what he had, I beat a path to his door...

    and one of these...

Needless to say, I was a happy, happy camper... Then I got distracted... I know, I know... SQUIRREL!!!
    Anyways, the distractions weren't bad.

    And last, but not least...

I ended up with 4 cressidas, 3 sedans and one wagon. the White sedan is a factory 5 speed and I ended up selling it. I sold all the sedans, but I kept the wagon

    On to the next post...
Working...
