Removed the i/c pipework and intercooler today and degreased it all.

Also removed the EGR and inlet mani and got to work with the butane torch which decoked them. Got a poop load of build up out of them, also blocked off the TIP breather from the rocker cover and made up a blank for the exhaust side of the EGR. Meaning no more dirty pipes! B)

Havent had chance to drive it up the road yet but i'm sure it will be much better with all the build up removed!

May splash out on an FMIC and a hybrid

Now makes some funky whistling noise on idle: awesome. Has made a fair bit of difference performance wise too. Really quality piece of kit, the welds are perfect, inside the welds have been ground flat and it's polished flawlessly.


Also sorted the common problem of the boost pipe clips failing causing a leak, made a big difference too, you can see how much play there was:
