  • A6 Avant.

Copied from my local forum so sorry if some bits are lost in translation.

With a bit of undecidedness about the golf the last few months i've decided to sell up. I love the car to bits but I just fancy a fresh it's done me without any major issues for 4 years. If you are interested please message me.

Anyway this is soon to be it's replacement.

Its a 2003 130pd a6. With 168k on the clock. I know the history of it as it has been in the family since new and I have maintained it for most of that time anyway the aint on it is flawless, no scratches dings or anything. Its all motorway milage, believe it or not its still on the original clutch and exhaust! It starts first time all the time still, runs like new really. But makes sense as it does 55+ to the gallon and 650 miles to the tankfull

Decided to give the interior a good clean out today so out came the wet vac, also gave the outside a quick snow foam and wash.

7 Years of grime from the drivers seat....

    Enough loadspace I think!

Got onto debadging the rest of the rear including the St Georges flag

Doesnt look to bad at all.

Been working 10 hour days at work the past 4-5 days and juggling my dissertation about so been working into the night on this pretty much like this right now.

I'm also called matt buchanan. Not really.

Anywayz. Wheels are on the way and the bumpers came back today, got all the other general maintainance stuff out the way like new tyres for stock rims for the winter and some new brakes. Now its time to get it a bit lower *happyface* Some shit I phone pics.

I'll get some proper pics when I get time.

So a few boxes got delivered last week finally go round to opening them.
Decided to have a little trial fit:

Just gotta split them down and sort the lips out as the lacquer has peeled off. Really happy with them.

Too bad thats a 2 piece, some wider lips would be killer there
But still very nice loving the Dub !

Cheers for the kind words guys. Got the wheels fully stripped down today. As much as i'm for doing all the work on my builds myself I just dont have the time right now with working 50 hour weeks and attending uni doing my third year dissertation I just dont have the time, so they go off to the polisher this week. The guy is a good friend of mine who knows what he's doing so I look forward to seeing how they come out.

                  Next up lows..

and the wheels could even be painted...in same blue as the car

Cheers, yeah I thought about it but the silver really does tie in with the car and just want to keep it like its rolled out the factory just with a few extra touches and some lows of course!

I told my dad I want an Estate car, he said "Oh you want a stabbin' cabin huh. Right on son!"

I very much like a6 avants. Particularly the low kind.

                            Interested.
