Yeah, that's the car. I guess his sedan needed a lot of work, so he decided to put the 5.0 in a Ranger.

Make sure that x20 plug is the same as yours, as they are different between models and years and you're good to go!

Power everywhere! Biggest problem with turbo 5.0s is expensive transmissions. The T5 that came with it is tiny.

Hopefully the x20 is the same. Its going from 97 318 to 98 323, so both OBDII cars. I guess repinning the x20 wouldn't be too hard.

Got the motor pulled and on the engine stand. I was told that the trans and clutch were new, but it was nice to open it up and see a new clutch.

Getting lucky on a part out from an v8 e36 is real steal! For them rusty headers and Valve covers....PAINT ALL TEH THINGS! Lol

You don't want to start with a 318 if you can avoid it. There's so many things you need to upgrade to make it work or worthwhile.

I'd get the cleanest 6 cyl car (323, 325, 328) that fits your budget.

Did a bit of a makeover on the motor this weekend.

Stripped most everything off, scrubbed it, removed old gasket material, and taped it up

Gloss black



Now I'm going to strip it down the rest of the way and build it back up with new gaskets.
