Thanks! Yes, the floor and roll bar will be painted in white. Duplicolor grease remover + adhesion promoter + matte vinyl/fabric paint. Plan on redoing door/rear panels eventually, but pretty happy with how it came out.

I Like
Are you painting the floors white again? Also, was that Dupli-color interior vinyl paint?

Also tore out the interior to change to black and install stereo.

drilled new holes for the door speakers.

I wired in the head unit and finished up the speaker wires.

Started removing some of the sound deadening. First was the rear, cause it was terrible from the PO spilling paint on it. Wasn't nearly as hard to remove as I imagined.

A couple of hours later... got all 3 sound panels removed and pulled back excess wires. That huge wad of wires on the right ran all over the back seat. Now it's temporarily tucked behind the panel. Wrapped the remaining wires in frcition tape.

Where it's at now:

Next projects are more work on the floor to get it ready for paint and welding in roll bar.

Done quite a bit with her over the past 2 weeks!
Did my first track day with a couple of friends (e46 m3 and 135 msport verts). I thought the car did suprisingly well for how old it is. Tires/brakes could be a bit better and it's obviously down on power, but it was a ton of fun to really push myself and the car.

Safe to say I was the lowest car there! ;D But definitely not the best looking :sweet:

Overall, I think the car did really well for rolling over 212k miles while on the track. Was the slowest car there by a LOT, but was still able to lap faster than a C6 vette, SS Camaro and Shelby 5.0. The motor smelled hot any time I pushed it past like 80%, but survived. Not sure I can say the same about my brake pads!

Thanks, bro!Originally posted by Clay View PostI like the pictures of the 1998 white BMW e36 convertible, bro.
Thanks. I'm on there, but hardly ever post, cause the attitudes over there get pretty annoying. I mostly just troll the rides and engine swap sections.Originally posted by whitebeaste36 View PostSooooo badass man! Are you on bfc by any chance?
Thanks. The car is headed toward motorsport, so the seats will make more sense in the future (changing interior to black). The old ones were literally trash, so these were an easy decision at $300 for the pair.Originally posted by DannyE32 View Postbeautiful car!
not fan of the seats tho.
Glad you like, as I'm a fan of your car, as well. I took off all the trim and painted it with SEM trim paint. Amazing how much it cleaned up the car.Originally posted by jimmybacon View PostWhite car + white wheels = win
Also i like the black kidneys more than the chrome ones.
They're great cars, especially with the top down! Glad you like the plan...I'll try to enjoy it enough for the both of us haha!Originally posted by PrezesKlubuBmw View PostI feel like a fool now, seeing this thread makes me sad and really happy at the same time. I sold my black 328i vert some time ago. I'm loving your car mate. I'm sure i would do pretty much the same with mine if i still owned it. Perfect taste in any direction you have gone with this car. Keep up good work Man!!! I will be definetly back to see what's up. Thanks!!!
