Btw, those wheels will look great on the brick!
Let me rephrase that, can't make the power I want cheaply with a 4 cylinder.
Gonna be close to 1000hp when totally finished but the power will be built in stages. Shooting for 400whp NA before installing boost then stepping it to 750whp then to the final 1000whp. It will be loads cheaper with a small block than with stock Volvo power but I give props to anyone that can afford to build a volvo motor right. The 5.3 is just a jumping off point to get everything sorted before going to a stroked 6.0 then obligatory monster turbos.

I hope I don't offend you but, well, I'm gonna go against the norm, "I **** steelies". Yep, I said it, **** them with a passion. I am waiting on new wheels to be delivered and they are the only rollers I have so it doesn't sit on jackstands and piss off the neighbors. But anyway.....

This has been the latest work. Pulled the trans to fix a leaky rear main but the clutch is wasted and I'm not going to pump money into a pit so this forces my hand

Plenty of room for a V8

    Pretty crusty though

Lots of scrubbing and degreaser later

Removed the rusty battery tray too since it's being relocated to the trunk

Ordered up s new set of temporary wheels, god bless cheap Mustang parts. Set of 17x9 speedline reps, $398 shipped!

Set of tires acquired also 215/45's front and 225/45's rears.

Also an 03' GM 5.3 and 4L60E transmission are showing up tomorrow morning.

Hell yes, loving it. I just picked up a '79 242DL myself for a track beast, this has seriously got me considering putting an interior back in it.
