The observant will see some changes to the Derbys interior.

Did some research and according to the Norwegian Biltilsyn (Kinda like the dmv) there are only five of these bought new in norway that still are registered.

So quite rare this car.

A friend of mine has worked with polishing cars and offered to give the Derby a go, I was quite pleased with the result.

Some updates

Bought some Aluline Cups 15 inch rims, painted them matte black, fitted them and then decided to sell them on. Didnt look quite right.




Reapolstered the backseat, it had started to fade due to the sun. Did also fit a net for the helmets.



When the wheels where off the car I decided to paint the brakes.

Nice derby! Fender flares would provide good contrast between the wheels and the body.

I just finished my summer vacation and there has been a couple of updates since last.

I have moved into a new workshop with a friend of mine that has a Toya KE70.

I spent some time there today making some small changes.

Removed the VW badge in the front:



Stickerbombed some parts:





Yes I know its upside down in one of the pictures, I noticed it when I mounted it to the car, I will fix this later.

I have also removed the backseat and are looking for a rollcage.

Changed the alternator, fuelpump and changed the sparkplugs and leads today. Had a problem with the car misfiring and misbehaving.

The voltmeter showed just under 13V before, with the new alternator it shows just under 14v, the car also feels more responsive and alert. So I guess it was several things together that was making the problems.
