I managed to get the wheels I want!

Now i just need some stretch tyres, i dont know how extreme to go.
This is a photo of the front wheels, the 8.5" wide fitted to the rear which just clear:

I also need to fit some spacers on the rear, at least 5mm to clear the coilovers. This photo is the 9.5" rears fitted:

I should be painting my car over the next couple of weeks, i think either a really bright silver like the new Vauxhall Corsa ...or a dark grey similar to the OEM E30 grey

      Hey everyone,

What's the best way to pull put my rear arches more? I want to fit my 10mm spacers and raise it up more than this, so the face of the wheel is flush. Big hammer? I've gone as far as a jack handle will bend the panel, the metal is so thick. I need another 4mm/5mm clearance

My friend Josh (with the lupo from these forums) came out today and got some better photos with a proper camera

Im not sure what i think. I liked the look of it slammed at the rear, but the front wheels never matched the rear. We now have it sat higher up at the back, with the rear wheels spacererd to almost flush, but theres something i dont like about it!

i think my main problem, is that it looks too high at the back:

What's your opinions?? did you preffer it lower at the back tucked, or how it is now?

                I love the front.....

.....i just wonder what can be done with the rear, maybe the wheels are too big (18") for how its stanced?

On our travels, we also came accross this.... is this anyone on here?....

Thanks to josh for all these proper photos

I think so too zic! but it was the front that didnt match the back that really bothered me!
                        I loved the rear lowered.

I photoshopped one of the above images so that the lips of the wheels were inline with the body, it looks a bit better:

(the black one i was just experimenting with different colours to see if it looked better)

I also like the idea of painting it red now after seeing the epic bmw 2002 here: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=21885

sometimes i wish i never saw stanceworks, i was happy with how it looked until i learnt about stance!

This looks perfect to me. I like when the front and rear have the same amount of tire/wheel showing, so some rake is inevitable for my tastes.

Like that. Not digging the tucking.

                            Thanks Zacko,

I like that too, but it doesnt seem to have as much presence as when its really low.
I think im more of a 'tuck' person :P

I think this is how id like it, i did a quick photoshop:

I think im going to keep the original colour and repaint it, and just try to go for a super clean look next. Then i think it will be "finished".

im sick of taking the wheels off :P

                              Hi everyone,

Just an update to my thread, I've painted my e28 in a bright silver paint and very happy with it not buffed it up yet, I like the Matt effect too much!

Almost ready to drive after tonnes of welding

Liking the no rub strips look!

Delocked the doors, still wondering about no rub strips or painting them body colour what do you think?

and then the horrible door rub strips...

Painted the wing mirrors body coloured, resisted painting the door handles and the rub strips silver, but might still do them.

                              Must stay away from kerbs!

Any thoughts or suggestions let me know
