This. Really impressive, especially as I'm basically doing the same thing, although I've decided not to try my hand at painting myself.Originally posted by Jorge View PostI did not expect to see such quality final work at the end of the post when I saw the first fitment and arch rolled pics. Stunning stuff.
Good job!

Thanks everyone, for all the feedback.
LOL, you know I'm not quite sure yet. It does burn them. After driving on the free way for a short time you can see the rubber dust around the back bumper and quarter panel. LOL lucky for me I drive a service truck all week and only drive it when I'm off the clock.Originally posted by Steve View PostLooks pretty sick, how many miles do you get out of a set of tires?
No, it's on air. I drive it slamed out but needed to be able to get in and out of parking lots. As of right now this is pretty much my driver when I'm not working.fitment is on point, great job...
it's static, right?
This was our first time doing anything this extreme. During test fitting the rear wheels stuck out over 4 inches with max camber. There was a time were I was feeling like I was in over my head. Lucky for me, allot of patience paid off.did not expect to see such quality final work at the end of the post when I saw the first fitment and arch rolled pics. Stunning stuff.
Thanks, some day I hope to have a shop, not a 2 car garage. But until then this will have to do.wow. very impressed. you did all that in your garage! good one
paintings not that bad, but i did go to school for it just decided that there was no money in it unless you own the shop. I knew I would use the training anyway. You wouldn't save money doing it yourself. It cost more to do it yourself !Really impressive, especially as I'm basically doing the same thing, although I've decided not to try my hand at painting myself.
I love it man great job, I wish they made more of these standard transmissions some day i will own one lolI know the feeling guys. When I was going to build another drift car, I was going to fix that with a swap. But since I took another route with it I just did the gated shifter conversion and called it a day. I post some of the interior progress when I get back in town.love this car, if there were mire 5 speeds around I would certainly have one

What do you mean? I figured all the money is in the preparation work. so do you mean if you do prep just pay someone to lay final colour?

It's more the price of supplys and materials. If you do the prep and finish work you save on labor. Finish and prep are the most labor intense aspect of the job. Paint shops get their supplys cheaper and belive it or not they pass that on to you. I paid more for paint then most paint shops charge for the whole job. Hope that makes sense.Originally posted by D&W View PostI knew I would use the training anyway. You wouldn't save money doing it yourself. It cost more to do it yourself !
