  • So I started this E38 / 740iL BMW Build

I bought this car while takin a walk on a lunch break...always wanted one and a black one just happen to be for sale at a local lot

I threw on sum rims in a couple days...then the car was hit due to someone running a red light.

Ended up ordering a bunch of stuff to repair and decided to get a new lip and aftermarket headlights.

custom water transfer done because I didnt feel like waiting for 750 handles to pop up for sale..did other stuff too

Did the engine area as well...

1st stereo: 4 Alpine Type X 10's and the Clif Designs 4k watt amp

2nd stereo: I pulled out the Alpine / Clif Designs stuff. They were tearing the car apart!! LoL!!
downsized to 2 Soundstream 12's and 2k Soundstream sub amp.

    Stereo # 3: Im building a 5th order soon w/ 2 15's

    next up, rims...
I had a bunch of 5x120 rims (tru wheel whore) around and decided on the Forgiato because of its combo of Concave face and lip action

Problem was they were not as aggressive as the rims on my other cars... So I imported a pair of huge lips!

next problem... Forgiato uses a unique pattern for their 40bolt wheels.

Whats a girl to do?!?!?....redrill, fill and weld them!

Please do not attempt to do this if you dont know how to properly drill/fill and weld aluminum.

Now the rim is around 12.5" wide, with a seriously stretched 275!

Im not going VIP style with this car...Ive got VIP GS300 and LS that Ive started on. This will be built in the spirit of "The Transporter" one of my fav movies!

Will finish up the bodywork this weekend so I can re-lower the cars rear..too much rake

next we have the interior stylings by Your friendly neighborhood DriftGirl ...

I tried and tried to break the securing bolt loose from the camber adjustment bolt...couldnt do it. Breaker bar n all need camber action!!!!

soooo, This past weekend, I drove my E38 for the first time in a while...

I'll get it dialed in when I get home and have a free moment sometime next week...

Rear needs to come down, but cool.

Who did you have to the fill and drill on the lips?
