  • Euro Peugeot 207 (Belgium)

I've been reading this forum for quite a while now...
And I have seen some amazing projects.

Now that mine is finally coming to completion, I just wanted to show it to you guys and I hope you like it

    The car is a 2006 Peugeot 207.
    Transformation really began early 2010
The whole car has had work done to it...
The Body, Suspension, Engine, ICE and Interior...
It all had to make way for something more to my liking 8-)
(I'll post some detailed info later on...)
By the end of 2010, there has been some minor bodywork done.
And I began researching airride suspension and I tought to myself, I can make my own setup if I really wanted, so began the sourcing of parts (mainly imported from the US)
After about 4 months I had everything ready and since last weekend I finally managed to install everything in and under the car.

    2010

    2011

So after a very long time, the car is finally ready...

-The airride is finally up and running.
(can still drop it about 1.5cm in the front and it's on the (cut-down) bumpstops in the rear)
driving around on 65-75PSI front and 35-45PSI rear
-The bootbuild is practicly finished (no pics yet )
-The wheels have been rebuilt and given a full polish with golden bolts
-The rear arches have been widened
    -Custom colorcoded roofbox
-Decat pipe heatwrapped and installed (sounds nice, for a diesel)

Not too much words... plenty of photo's ;D

Your driving height is completely retarded. Driving high and parking low is completely retarded. Why not roll low as well - if you need to clear a speedbump or something, then you can raise it up. Riding this high with Airride... Just no.

Apart from that, this is one of the very few Peugeots that actually looks decent. Good job.

nice 207 but your driving height is quite shocking actually, thats 4x4 status. I could easily drive the car at slammed position

Last weekend, my mates and I went for a drive.
We were going to the next city, so we could go and see a movie.
On the way over there, I noticed some pressure drops in the front right airbag.
Nothing major I assumed, as it was the first time there were four people in my car, since the air ride had been installed and I knew one of my gauges is leaking a bit.
So I just added pressure from time to time.
As soon as I entered the city centre, the deflation happened faster then it was at first.
Till a point where I would inflate and half a minute later it was on the ground again.
I pulled over for a closer look and found out, there was a very small hole in the airline, where it had rubbed against the inner side of my wheel.
Luckily I always have some kit in my car and after maxing out the other airbags, I managed to shorten the airline, by rotating the airbag around and we could continue our journey.
I hoped I could make it to work on monday and tuesday...

On monday I phoned an air ride specialist and asked him if he could make me some steel braided airlines for the fronts.
After getting some measurements and sizes, he told me they would be ready on wednesday. So wednesdaymorning I phoned the guy to ask if they were ready...
He had to order some new parts for the airlines, so they would be ready later in the day.
I started my day with disassembling the front of the car.
Took the wheels of, took the struts out, dismantled the struts and cleaned everything up again.
I phoned back later that day, only to find out that the lines weren't ready yet.
But he told me I could go and pick them up later... say till about 12 at night he said
So at 10.30PM I was at his shop and received the airlines, took me one hour to get back home and continued on the car.
Had to pull an all nighter to get her ready for the show on thursday, but I am quite happy with the result

              Here's some photo's... enjoy.

              Struts removed...

              And dismantled

              Smaller bumpstops

              Left after, Right before

              Close up

              Steel braided hoses

An update that was lying around for some time, now got installed

              And finally back in

+1.5cm drop in the front... I like

If I want to get it even lower now, I'll have to take the route of custom uniball top mounts

Hey guys, I wasn't finished yet... ROFL
That was just in the early stages, the suspension was on for like 2 days and I was still learning and testing a lot...
Will have to make some new comparison shots...
I now drive around like 5cm of the ground with 40-45PSI in the front and just under 20PSI in the back.
Now I am still waiting for my Dakota digital airride controller...
Once that's on, I'll make some more pics

not bad... but this is unbelievable high for airride i think, more low + spacers, also not feeling the wheels, but that's just me...

The rear ones are going to be mounted in the front and the fronts will get some wider dishes to get some more poke in the back, along with some camber shims.
I always liked the wheels, but 17" is just a tad too small.
But they are quite rare in our country, that's why I wanted them really.
Maybe get some new ones in the future...

The car looks to be built to a great standard and I understand why you've done what you've done, but it is all a little too 'cleaned' and 'euro' or however you want to label this car.

I know quite a few of those girls haha.

A lot of people would put you to shame, even static. To have air ride and still sit as high as you do is quite shocking if i'm honest.

The styling is very tacky as well. The boot "build" looks like a complete mess.
