Well... As the weather is getting worse... I find myself outside in the garage less and less.... Having a garage with no insulation and no heat makes it difficult to work on the car... Small projects that can be done inside will be done this winter... Other stuff such as stance and motor/engine bay stuff is on hold...

Don't mind the unfinished bay/unpainted under hood...

Here is the project for most of winter University of Akron Formula SAE

College life has its ups and downs...

Well, as can be seen, progress has come to a halt on the G60 as many other priorities have shown up.

Such as the university racing team.

Where we traveled to Germany to compete...

And with the addition of a b5 s4 to the family...

      Just a filthy daily

      Progress has been slow.

But as of late little work has been done to keep the project on track.

Brake lines were replaced after braking them trying to fit the camber plates... Essentially the car was too low and stretched the old brake lines to the point of collapsing and failing. Camber plates were removed, probably for now till I can sort everything else out. And the car made it on the road for 3 days...

Then I took it apart to investigate a ticking noise... Which sounded like an exhaust gasket.

It turned out one of the exhaust gaskets WAS bad and i am hoping that is the root cause of the noise... It should be.

As you can see, the engine was really grimy.. and as i wasn't going to pull it out now. (not till next season at least) I decide to give it a rinse down with degreaser and clean it up as best i could while still in the bay...

Then i was like... "I'm gonna finish this" (for now) so the parts began to roll in...

      BBM Stage 5 supercharger chip.

      Innovate LC-1 wideband

Bosch green tops (42lb injectors) with BBM fuel rail with adjustable FPR.

Next order of business is fix the wiring for the injectors as after 20 years the wiring is really corroded and frail. Finish fuel plumbing, Re install ECU with the chip. Weld on the wide band bung... finish wideband wiring and boost gauge install. and pray she starts runs and blows up so that I can put a real motor in there... oh wait, I didn't say that. hahaha
And then try on some white wheel paint...

Next update should be in about two years... lol, i hope its done sooner than that

well, got her running and went for a shoot.

Still needs some little bits and pieces, but it feels good to be able to pull it put of the garage every once in a while
