gotten a lot farther on the bay. the welding is all done i'll get pics next time i am down at the shop

engine parts came! (yay crappy cell phone pics!)

i am getting really tired of doing body work in the engine bay so i think i am going to spend some time, now that i have everything, building the engine. maybe then i'll be motivated to have a home for it

Agreed! I really like most porsche wheels. They look right at home on corrados.
Also, great job with the bay and all. I plan on doing all this kind of work eventually when our shop is done being built. What cams did you get for the engine? I've been looking around for cams, but I'm not exactly sure what I want to get just yet.

block has been cleaned honed and deck and the head has been welded up where there was a little corrosion around the coolant ports and then decked, i got a mk4 metal headgasket as well which is going to bump compression up even more. it isn't a huge bump at all and it will probably only help with throttle response but the goal of the car is not extreme power. got a new oil pump and all new gaskets, rings, and bearings. the head is getting autotech 262 cams. i drove the car for a few months before i started the build and i just loved how the motor felt and i didn't want to change all that much. the only other "power" thing i am doing is the header which i posted earlier. very few people say one gains anything from it, but buying it was more of a visual choice since i deleted the rain tray and i couldn't have the stock cast iron manifolds back there.

thanks for the kind words now i just need to get over this cold and i'll get back to work
