  • A slow build of a silver E36 coupe

    Hey Folks,

I'm new here with my BMW E36 coupe. This is my First BMW. I bought the car in late march and so far i have done:

    - Black kidney grills
    - Ditched the terrible 15s for some 17 inch style 19s
    - Fitted a sub
    - Fitted a new air filter
    - Fitted some coilovers

Future plans are to lower it a lot more and get some wider and better offset wheels.

    Heres some pics

Standard apart from the black kidneys

    Before I fitted the coilovers

Now after the coilovers have been fitted

A quick question for all those out there with their helper springs removed, how have you stopped the spring dislocating when the suspension is at full travel?

Are you the guy from E36coupe that was asking to swap the barrels for some wider ones?

Rare to see another Style 19 owner.

                    Thanks ,

The plans are to lower it more next week and I may put the helper springs back in the front, depends how low I can go with them in there. Then get some wider wheels, although I'm not looking forward to working on the rear arches as they are pretty rusty...

Also thanks for saying about the photoshoot I will get back to you when I think the car is more worthy of a shoot.

Hey StanceWorks, I have a small update for you all.

Got some new wheels, bmw style 32, which happen to be similar to the wheels that another, very awesome, purple E36 is wearing.

So here are some terrible pictures for you to look at for now. I will get better pics soon.

                      Specs of the wheels are F:- 17x8 et20, 205/45/17 and R:- 17x9 et26, 225/45/17.
Now just got to sort out the arches and some camber and i can go a little lower.

Bit more camber and low at the back. Still got the fronts to sort out then lower all round. Got some stuff to sort out for my degree at the moment so the car will be sitting like this till October when i get some more free time.

I'm getting there albeit very slowly...
