yeah it sucks getting cars re-certed aye. thats wierd your certifier wont do steelies, i know a guy that builds widened wheels every week and they all get certed no worries (in welly). might be time to find another certifier haha

the bigger problem i think you'll have though is getting the cert with those tyres on those wheels, as stretched tyres will never get cert. you'd have to raise the suspension up and buy 'suitable' tyres, but then your cert will show the wrong height. its a lose/lose situation sadly. id flag it and see how ya go, then hope like shit you dont get pulled over by a cop who knows what widened wheels are.

Its not that he wont cert the steelies, he doesnt want to cert the car at the height its at
( it is certed for the height, but he wouldnt want to RE cert it at the height, he would want me to raise it)

                Awesome car man!

Colour of the wheels is spot on too, although not sure how it works against the blue.

                  PANEL BEATERS HELP ME OUT

If I wanted to go back to OEM rear fenders, do you think it would be possible for the current fenders to be fixed? Even if they can cut what is there and put in another bit of metal? Or the other option is order rear qaurters from America, have a body shop cut the current qaurter out and weld the new one in like in this picture http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/3046/020g.jpg Which will cost $$$$

Any advice appreciated, thanks for looking

Having the rear quarters replaced can easily fuck up the whole car cause its gotta be top notch work or not done at all. If they half-ass anything it'll turn out all wavy and shit...

IMO it is possible to make the arches look oem again. My suggestion is find some old skool bodywork guy to do that. They know best how to treat metal Its still gonna need LOTS of filler work and sanding but it can be done!

This just came up to my mind: you did pull the fenders way too far, so the thing is that theres not enough metal to get the arch back to its original shape. So once the arch is hammered back as good as it gets, the missing metal can be tinned up as far is i know. Most of the shaping should be done with tin, and less with filler cause filler will settle and if you apply too much the paint will crack after time.

This is roughly how it should be done..

Oh, in the end the arches will be wider than OEM i think..

that would be ok if they are wider anyway I need the extra space haha
