I cleaned up and rebuilt the brakes

    rebuiltbrakes

And scored a set of genuine interceptor center caps of an ex police car

    policecaps

prepped and painted my wheels black as i cant decide what colour i want to go with

    shiny

got some tyres and got them mounted onto the wheels

    shoes

And with that i drove her into the garage and took a final photo of Lana on her original wheels

Man you have the cleanest VK i've ever seen

I want to see those steelies on it and more low
    Would look tough

Do you have an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear axle position for when you lower it more?

thanks for the input. i got bored last night with the rain and dont want to pull Lana apart too much before this weekend but lows and wideness are on the table for soon as my new diffs ready for paint and with that my brain got thinking and i picked up a pencil...
    DSC_0327
i am thinking something like 15x10s with some balloon stretch and a bosozoku/shakotan influence

He cant get camber because of the sra. But this thing would look awesome stupid low with like 13x10 wheels and boso pipes. Just saying.

I need to see camber poke and lowz on this thing, the visor is weird, but I kinda like it, reminds me of dealers at old school casino's. I also dig the woodgrain gas cap but i feel like its out of place...needs more wood grain but don't over-do it

well yet again its been a while since ive updated. Im slack as i know. i haven't really accomplished much ive just been enjoying driving her lately.
Well what have i been up to....
i got the engine back together, cleaned up the front end, painted the engine bay and put Lana back together

test run with no front clip.

    CSC_0592

    and all back together properly

    DSC_0033

drift stitched the crack in her bumper

    DSC_0071

was stoked to be driving her again and my sister made me a cool zebra shift boot so i bought the Lana a present

    DSC_0331

decided to swap the stud pattern in my quest for stance so i purchsed a 6cyl commodore diff to go with the front suspension i purchased a while back

    DSC_0336

was intending to clean it up and install it but not long after purchase...
she wouldnt start..... was like hmmm getting fuel and turning over sweet soooo shall see if getting spark took off dizzy cap and cranked ignition. no spin?
    removed distributor and found this

    DSC_0353

    got this

    DSC_0355

put it on. reset timing. stared first pop
Then was cruising and motor started "nunganunganungaing' and i confused myself as everyone i asked gave me a different reason from bottom end to pushrods. lost motivation so lana slept in garage for a while. then i missed driving it so i had a good listen and guessed it needed new hydraulic tappets
dissassembled valvetrain to get them out

My first car was a VK, from experiance unless you replace all the bushes, tie rods and recondition the steering rack you will have no end of problems with the front end.
I lowered mine on koni adjustables with K mac camber plates you will be very suprised on how well it rides when it is low had no bounce or stiffness.
good luck with the build anyway.

im sorta indecisive about this. i have the front end apart painted and ready to go back together. but im stuck trying to make up my mind if i should replace all the old bushes now (there okay just old) with some new stuff while its apart. or just put it back together and save for new wheels/springs

it wont go fast enough for the new bushes to have any major handling advantages but itd be piece of mind. yet i want wheels and lowerness.... hmm

its all a part replace old stuff with fresh shit !
