Plasti-Dipped the rear bumper's center section. I sprayed it so the color and texture would match the Cupra lip up front.
Also lowered the rear of the car a bit more. 20/75" front, 21.25" rear. Here's how it sits as of today. It sat like this for the drive to Cape Cod, which totaled about 180 miles. The car only burned about 4-4.5 gallons of gas the whole way.

Picked up another front bumper cover. Shaving the trim lines and plate recess.

Random pics.

Thank you! I always love being the "whaaaat" car at all the shows.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostYES.
Thank you for taking the roof rack off.
I dig this, I like the fact that you're modifying something you see on an everyday basis, but in a clean manner.
Thank you very much! I actually like the look equally rack-wise (it seems to compliment the lip somehowOriginally posted by 244Brick View PostLooks WWWWWAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better without the rack. I'm supper loving it. Great Job
), but the car gets much better fuel mileage this way. The decision is easy!

Since I can't really justify the hit in fuel mileage, I have removed the rack for daily driving.

Hopefully I'll be ordering new center caps this week.

Hey, here's an update on the sweet-ass Focus. I'm happy with how the car sits now, but I'd like to clean the paint up, refinish the wheels, and maybe bring it a smidge lower. I do plan on hitting up at least one CART autocross this summer now that the car doesn't rub. I'd also like to do a balance shaft delete, build a new exhaust system, measure for and fit spacers, and maybe tune the car before year's end among a slew of interior upgrades. Let me know if you'd like a mod list.

This shot was taken by a photographer at a large weekly meet we have in my area.

I really can't wait for the car to go back in for paint, I'm also very glad the lip has protected the bumper from more scrapes like the one in this pic.
