sell the w124?! you just painted it ! not sure if i have seen pics of the w201. they are what got me into mercedes, for some reason i just LOVED 190e's. still great looking cars, especially with multipiece AMG's.

ive been wanting to put a car on air since i was 16 - back in the old 'fast and the furious' days when i had a 96 mitsubishi mirage hatch in australia....that ended up going down on D2 coilovers which i ***** (stiffest ride EVER) These shots were circa 2004

then i wanted to put my old C Class on air but ended up with koni lowered springs. This was around 2008

    BEFORE

    AFTER

then i got this '68 and figured it was the right car to do finally go air on so yea im kind of anxious too

Dropped off @ Socal Suspension today.

Should be stopping down next weekend to see their progress.

Purple truck is the owners wife's car that has full accuair e-level

Stopped down at socal suspension to go over the plans for tank mounting/hose running etc. and we have it mostly planned out. Jose and Alex down there seem legit and have installed a lot of accuair and e-level before. here is some shots of the shop car and Jose's pickup he is building.

So after that I drove back home and the next day gave the old girl a detail in my tiny garage

    Paint Cleaner
    Clay Bar
    Rubbing Compound in required areas
    Polish
    Wax

Here you can see a rough patch in the clear-coat - this car has been re-painted original 172G Anthracite by the previous owner and it was a really nice job, but this area always bugged me.

Here you can see it with the light right on it

Using Meguires rubbing compound it started getting a lot better over about 5-10 minutes

You can see final result later down

There was another area on the drivers rear quarter, on the edge just next to the rear door - you can see it is a bit dull/orange peely. I decided to try the rubbing compound here as well..

This shot shows the dull area

    And this is after

I also polished up the chrome and washed the tires

mine actually looks more like yours after it was repainted. the color was mismatched a little , when i look at it in the sun it looks almost with a hint of dark green rather than grey. and over all it came out a bit lighter than i expected. but looks good regardless.
