I'm kind of in the same boat. I think you'll find you can get rid of several unnecessary pieces to save some weight and simplify the design.

I never understand what's going on here, but I always leave so much happier.
Also, what finish are those Rota's? Looking at getting a set for drift tires.

I haven't seen any other finish availible for these new Rota RKR's .. I got one of the first 4x114.3 sets,, in stock "mag. black finish"

I'm using a stock Sony Alpha A330 that was $499 in 2010 ... I've taken over 100k pics, and it's starting to show wear/glitches .. but I'd buy Sony again, cause I don't treat it good at all, every day in the garage, rolling shots, shooting in the dark, and I've dropped it a few times .. :
