      Nice car

      Hello!
I just saw your thread and I'm amazed!
I have a Passat, the same year and engine. Please tell me from where do you get that part from the rear, I don't know how to name it, but I attach the picture.
And I want to ask you another two things: One is the part code from the rear diffuser, from W8, and the second one is; how do yo make the exhaust double pipes...are they functional? Please answer me.
I attach a pic of my car, too.
I how you will help me with those infos.
      Thx!!!!

Hi Vinyl, thanks for the kind comments.
Answering your questions - the part you have mentioned is no longer on the car but it is called bumper guard, at least in the UK:
        http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RGM-Rear-B...item462598e6f9

I don't know the rear diffuser part code as the one I have is the normal one with PCD and I cut out the space for the second exhaust. There are marks that shows you how to do it to be exact.
As to making exhaust double pipes - the endings were cut from the genuine W8 exhaust and then welded into my car. It isn't easy due to a limited space on the right hand side but it is possible
Are they functional - hard to say, they definitely look good in my opinion.
PS. Your car looks good - keep it up

Do you have some pics from the day you make the exhaust?
          I'm so curious...

Sorry, I don't, but anyone who knows a thing or two about welding and have proper tools will do the job.

              ok

              I understand!
Last year I mounted a straight pipe, with decat.
This is how it looks under the car (in the pics is not finished)
In the right side, I have a lot of work because as you say, isn't sufficient space...
I hope I will find at my dealer the rear w8 diffuser and mufflers from Audi S3, i think they look good.
              Thanks for the info!
I will continue to read your topic, but I hope that you will post a lot of new things!

Well done. Keep up the good work and good luck with the exhaust. Personally I would suggest looking for some passat W8 at the scrap yard or on ebay for the endings as they are the best fit. One is shorter then the other and they fit perfectly with the rear diffuser.
As for my topic - it will be updated as soon as I finish everything with the car and do a proper photo shoot.

Hi Vinyl, a lot to be honest.
Car is in the garage at the moment having completely refurbished engine head replaced with new camshaft all gaskets etc. At the same time timing belt kit with water pomp, oils, filters etc.
New boot install is completed and once few small interior parts come back from the paintshop and I will fit them I will post the update with pictures.

                    Thanks for checking out

                    • You should get yourself some bigger injectors, bigger turbo and add some lpg injection
Your looking at a massive power increase, lpg has a higher combustion rate
more fuel economy, lpg burns unspent diesel for cleaner emissions
                      more info

                      • I already have the bigger turbo and FMIC. My injectors are enough up to 200 BHP. I am happy with the power I have at the moment and won't be investing any more money towards power in this project. Thanks for the suggestions, though.
The only upgrades I think of next year will be big brakes and new upholstery inside.
