I am at the point in my project where things are actually getting done/put together. Figured it was time to make a thread about the last details and how it all ends up coming together.[/B]

    Goals.

Sort of an accumulation of all the project cars I have had over the last 5 years, but actually finishing. To start, I am looking to put together a mid 12x mph car over the 1/4th. Once everything is together we will toss in a built motor (next project) and up the boost to the high 2x-30psi range and hopefully achieve over 130mph trap. Then tossing on something along the lines of a 80mm turbo, whole new fuel system, sheet metal intake manifold, etc.

Just something to have fun with and shred to work/the beach in.

    The car.

    -1991 Black 525i Non Vanos/ 5sp ZF
-OBD1 Vanos Harness Merge with Red Label 413 ECU
-Gutted. No sound deadening, no A/C...nothing.

    Engine.

    -S52 from a 97 M3 automatic with ~130k miles
    -MLS 0.140 HG
    -525i Oil Pan/Pickup
    -OBD1 Intake Manifold/Conversion
-All new seals and gaskets, all around

    Turbo Setup.

    -WAR Chip with BloThro MAF
    -Siemens 60lb Injectors
    -Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
-Precision Turbo 6262 T3 with Journal Bearing
    -Otisfold Top Mount T3 Manifold
    -Treadstone TR10 Intercooler 10.5" X 24" X 3.5"
    -3" Charge Piping
    -4" Full Exhaust
    -Synapse BPV
    -Precision 46mm WG

    Drivetrain.

    -Mostly Stock
    -UUC Red Trans Mounts
-Southbend Clutch Stage 3 "New" -Rated to 600ft/lb
    -VMR V710 18x8.5, 18x9.5

Onto some pics in no real particular order. The first 5 shots are from today then it goes from start to end :eik:

Shadowline trim and door handles painted:

Wiped it down a little, havent seen it clean yet.. as in, not once.

Bay was painted a while ago and sitting outside, so its dirty, but still shines and is noticeably better than OEM:

Oh and the head has been here a while:

    More!

    Painted block:

Timing chain cover and engine mount!

Tossed some parts on today to see how it is all looking. (Old oil pan is still on in these pics, a different/painted one is going on it):

20 years of oil changes removed from inside the pan!

20 years of New England winters, sand, salt and oil removed from the outside:

Some primer on the outside of it until we find time to setup an oil return line and paint it the final color

Some paint added to the manifold

Thats all for today. Did a lot that wasnt pictured or worth talking about.

So to start today, this beast is finally getting out of the shop (for now) so we can finish my shit.

Caged foxbody, built 302 and vortec blown:

Replacing of shot valve seals getting started. Once these are done, the ARPs get put in and the head goes on. Should be smooth sailing for a bit until we swap the harness and the shop gets started running all the lines and piping:

Motor in its current state. Waiting for an oil pickup gasket and a bung to be welded on/paint shot on the pan and the bottom end is done:

More parts! Head is going on and studs are getting torqued over the weekend. Slapping shit on and tossing in the motor. Then onto fabrication:

The best part about all of it, the parts only started in an e36... where they finally get dropped into is where things start to get interesting

I will grab some more tomorrow. Just been taking random shots with my shitty cell phone and was bored, so I tossed these up because all of the E36 threads are getting annoying lol

Even once it is all setup and boosting... its moving into another chasis a few more months down the line lol
