All my parts came in the mail and we decided to start doing work the next week.
I was so happy to get started.
Of course it couldn't have been that simple...
I was driving my little brother on the highway when a piece of metal fell out of an old pickup truck in front of me.
The result?
The shotgun sound scared the shit out of us. But no one was hurt except my windshield. And my mood.
Of course the only thing I didn’t need on the truck had to break.
Completely pissed I just saved up my paycheck that week and put it towards a new windshield.
I wasn’t going to let anything hold up any more progress on the truck.
And so it began.
Old coil spring and strut removed. Then control arm spring perch was modified to adapt the qa1's
Now onto the rear. Started off notching the frame for the bolt in notch.
After the notch removed the middle leaf from the leaf pack to lower it an additional 3 inches.
Looks good!!! I've been waiting for people to build more minis with static suspension. Air and juice is cool and all, but I still feel you have to be more devoted to run static.
