took a page from NeedingAnAudi's move...

So I finished my shift on Sunday 00:00 and hop on the highway to head home 350miles.....15miles outside of Beezewood pulling 4-5psi uphill...heard a muffled "pop" sound and lost all power. 2:25am, 2.5 hours later with dropped phone calls finally got a tow to a hotel. AAA would not tow me because i was expired and my local aaa club would not renew till they where open on monday. 6miles 105$. sunday started calling AAA 10am said they would tow me now :wtf: . 2pm i get towed to a Uhaul, rented a truck one way. took uhaul to tow shop of the road. flat bed right up to the deck of the uhaul, unload 200. they offered to help if i paid for hour of labor...1 hour paid, 20min of work. no tie downs, the 200 was on its own and free in the back of the truck with the rear tires sitting on wood ramps to get over the wheel humps. 250 miles later made it home by 8pm and 200 only moved sideways 2 inchs total. aaa again and they sent a flat bed out. 11pm tow gets there and guy was excited he didnt even have to tow anything other than hook up pull and unload.

coolant looks like the brown frown...ya the pop was the head gasket

3 flatbeds and a uhaul

i least when i got home at 1am...i found this on my doorstep. thank you for improving my day

So are you going to be building the 20v up now or just refreshing it?

i started monday noon pulling it apart. ordered parts tuesday since i was not sure what i wanted to do. wednesday parts came at 4:30, head was back on by 5:30...wasing trying to start it by midnight....thursday i tinkered with the no start...

i have wholesales accounts everyone...so i can overnight shit for free

but since i am gone till the 19th....all i can do is wonder what this no start issue is

Hmm, I seem to be the only one responding. Oh well, I have been thinking about getting into a 91 200 for a while now, having 4 cylinders is just too common lol.

Also you make that engine build sound so effortless! I had to wait months to get everything I needed to rebuild my car.

the 91 200's are boarder line owning an s4 cost wise....parts are becoming harder and harder to find and maybe 2-3 aftermarket companies produce parts in the world...most are expensive. sometimes i wish i had a 1.8t again just for the simplicity...and cost...and mpgs. my stock 200 ecu can be found for 3-500$ used. chip tunes are 300-1000+ depending whos name is on it.

done so much work over the years on all my cars and others....just becomes second nature.

then you have this stoopid shit on the old audi's

I am still at a no start condition. All the flywheel teeth are in good shape. the single reference ignition pin is there. had to pull the abs out to get the 2 sensors on the block.

all timing marks are correct. dizzy spins and is aligned with proper 20vt rotor.

clear fault memory .... multiple times with 5-6 seconds of crank time
                            per sjm auto

                            first code
2111 (Blink Fault Code), 00513 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
                            RPM sensor (G28)
Open or short circuit, sensor malfunction
Defective sensor & cables, metal fragments on flywheel teeth
Symptom: Engine will not start, misfires, may stop running
NOTE: I have seen this fault code occur after cranking the engine during a no start condition
in a few rare cases where there was nothing wrong with the RPM sensor

                            2nd
1111 (Blink Fault Code), 65535 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Engine Control Unit (ECU) Defective memory circuits,
Incorrect Checksum for internal memory (EPROMs)
(this can occur on some modified ECU's) Check ECU ground connections, Check EPROM programming
Symptom: Check engine light may come on

I fly back home June 28 to try swapping ecus
