I actually installed the coils before I reinstalled the FLCA, but no pics, I'll take some when I'm all done before I put the wheels back on.
Comparison
NISMO Tension Rod Brace
SPL Tension Rods, NISMO Tension Rod brace, Coated FLCA W/ ES bushings
Sorry haven't updated in a while, been kinda busy
Got the OEM FLCA, Struts\springs, Tension rods, Tension rod braces, and sway bar off.
Forgot to take pics :P
First I burned out the OEM bushings from the FLCA and used a wire brush for the remnants.
Then I pressed out the old ball joints while I was at it.
Then I figured since I was stripping it, I might as well strip it all and re-coat, and since I ***** the green of the sikky sway bar I'd figured I might as well do that too.
I ended up using a house hold chemical stripper that worked pretty good(forgot to take after pics)
I coated with a metallic paint, followed by a clear enamel to match the nismo Power brace.
I had new ball joints pressed in, and coated the area that got scratched up a little.
Then I greased the bushings, pressed them in, and installed the bars
Thanks
so here is a layout of my front suspension, minus the steering rack bushings which I already installed and the MOOG ball joints I am waiting on.
snapped a quick pic of the steering rack bushings before I put them on
Tension rod brace that doesn't fit (ordering nismo one today or tomorrow)
Stance GR+ Pro coils
sikky 32mm front sway bar (going to paint and strip)
heim endlinks that come with it
SPL adjustable tension rods
ES poly bushings for FLCA
Tein outer tie rods (PBM inners)
So far I have the steering rack bushings on, OEM sway bar and tension rods off, and some other stuff loosened up.
Should have the front suspension done early next week depending on when some parts come in.
Can't wait til those rims get new lips. I've finally seen this clean ass Kouki S14 with super low mileage. Keep up the good progress, steadily and surely coming along nicely Duder.
