Loved this car, but my heart wasn't in it anymore. So I decided to get car number 3...

It's a Series 2 1.3 Driver. And much like the Bora, my mates think I'm completely mad for buying it.

Currently, it's just sitting on Cheapo coilovers...



So there we are. I started (at 17) with a brand new Renault Clio GT, then sold it for a 10 year old Bora, and now have a 28 year old Golf.

Plans?
Wheels, Interior, etc. I'm on a budget here. A tight one!

Wheels should be on before next weekend, but my dad just sprung on me that I'm up in scotland that weekend with him. Which is great because now I have to tell work (they are gunna be PISSED!) and stuff.

As for the stripes, they are part of the "Driver" spec. Not sure if you got it across the pond, but Driver is basically all the GTI trim but with different wheels, engine, and re trimmed seats.

She's been running like a bag of old wank socks recently, and after days of me and friends trying to get a diagnosis we got bored and used my mates RAC membership. The guy seemed to be a bit stumped too, but in summary he recommended a very good carb clean and a new fuel filter. My thinking, and his, was that it has sucked in some rubbish from the bottom of the tank. Annoying!

However, cheered myself up today by throwing my new wheels on. Suspension needs adjusting to make it look better, however I do love them. MK3 Polo Steelies, 13". Banded to 7j and 7.5j.
