You need to buy yourself some durablocks. You ever think about skim coating the whole body in some evercoat z-grip and blocking it down, spray on a few coats of 2k primer surfacer, grab yourself some 3M guide coat and block the car out again. Its gonna save you a shit load of work. Would be a hell of alot less than what your going through now.
one gallon or primer later and still have a million things to fix
Due to time constraints I'm going to do one more coat (primer) then add a primer sealer on top of that. Moved to the urethane primer from the poly metallock Once I get the sealer on and sanded I'm just going to coat around the window seals with jet black so I can put the windows in and drive it to class. The fenders will probably be removed so its pointless to do the car a full color.
bondo queen. I **** black the body has to be PERFECT and every panel looked like a wave when I removed the original paint. rant/
hang in there buddy, don't overwork yourself and let it get to you. This section of the build can be frustrating and tedious, which could lead to loss of motivation. I'm also pretty surprised that you're redoing the fenders now that I think about it, but I'm interested to see how the new ones work out. Keep it up homie
going through this myself... did all 2002s come with shit bodies from the the factory?
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons
