Ive been wanting to put an s2k engine in something since the first time i drove my friend's 2000 s2k. ill be following and hoping you do the swap because im seriously thinking about putting one my 190
I drive e34's, Mike Burroughs made me want a e28 and a e9, EtownC a e24 and I allways wanted a e30 Touring. Now I need a 2002, how the ***** can I choose, I only have room for four (and the missus will kick me out if I have more then three)
Much respect man! While reading through I was heartbroken about the change of the flares. I liked the style but of course you made them even better the second time around.

First coat of primer sealer with a guide coat on top
All sanded down with self etcher on the bare metal
second coat of primer sealer
First coat of SEM bright white
This is the only one the lighting was proper to give you an idea of the SEM bright white.
for future criticism the paint is going to have flaws and never be perfect. The aim was to create a lasting base that I could go back and work on in the future when I have the time to fix the details. I eliminated all of the rust and used quality components to keep it from reoccurring (preppready, POR15, SEM Metalock poly primer base, SEM Tru Prime urethane 2nd primer, and SEM Tru Prime primer sealer for the last coat), so the effort I put forth was to create a good seal. Anyways I can justify my decisions all day, but I wanna drive this bitch.
I'm heading up to pick up more paint in the morning and will be applying another coat.
no excuses necessary, it looks fantastic. my philosophy is that if you do things too perfect or get too precious about it, you'll be too scared to drive it. good stuff, it'll be on the road in no time!
