Made some more progress on the bike. All the mounts and brakes are just about done. Just need a new chain and some other parts in the mail.

Told myself not to make the engine bay perfect, but I just got done sanding (5-6 hours today). Probably going to put another full day in tomorrow

Here's a picture of one with a full copper exhaust just to show that I'm not bullshitting. Some of my harley friends have done this. I love the effort you put into fabricating. Keep up the good work.

Yeah from the side view it looks good. I think the angle of one of the first shots made the hard tail look long. I've done a couple hard tail sportsters, bikes are fun to do. Everything is easy to get to, and you can see progress fast sometimes. Then riding them, is even better. I have the itch to do a cafe/brat style next.

as always such an inspiration. I just realized . your bike build is so dope turned a soft tail into a hard tail ! man you must have ass cheeks of steel! The work here on everything is so clean. Its real awesome watching your skill set evolve in the manner that it has. I envy what you're doing. And wish I had the ability to accomplish a build of this caliber. And your garage looks sick btw!

Thanks everyone! Happy you're all enjoying watching these projects move along! I had plans to really work on the engine bay today... but while prepin' the hard tail for paint my neighbor and I were looking at it and noticed one of the bars managed to get skewed after the final welding (put my first coat on paint on too....). Building a hard tail in a garage with a ghetto jig and a cut twice measure once attitude got me to this point I'm sure haha. The back was dead on, but the angle of the upper bar tossed the whole thing out of order. Ended up cutting two sections and twisting shit and adding a small amount till it got back to perfect. Going to bring it out in the sun tomorrow for final measurements and hopefully get back on the 02!

E30LIFE- yes, tecnically I have been riding a rigid frame for the last few months...everyday....


The true hardtail is actually going to be more comfortable because I can sit lower and further forward.
