  • herrakani- I couldn't fit it on any local breaker, so welding seemed like the best option.

jlaffo91- Haha not sure, but yeah that is something to take into consideration. I might give it a brush look to cut down on the shine

cederrowe- I'm probably going to run the 02 rear sub until I destroy it. Do something cool after that (s2k stuff or e30)

As far as the wheel size 16x8.5 ~+20, rear 16x9.5 ~+19. I believe that would be pretty ideal. Still able to run most of the BBK, but able to get low/not hit the inner frame components. Plus I really had to work the back rear quarters with the flares to get those giant 10" babies in haha.

        Hey Dr. Heist,
Keep this in mind. Small case e30 LSD internals fit inside an 02 diff case. I done did that
Its great because you dont need to change your drive shaft, half axles, or sub frame. Andrew at IE has done a write up about it. If you cant find it let me know and Ill post it up.

Please post. I'm very interested in doing the research for my future 02 build.

          • This is how Andrew at Ireland Enginearing did his 02 diff. Its a bit more complicated then what I did.
This is the place to keep everyone at R3VLimited updated on the new and different projects you're doing on your E30

When I did it I used all the internals from a small case e30 LSD and just stuffed them into a 2002 diff. I used the stock 2002 spindles so that the bolt size and pattern would be the same as the 2002 half shaft. Now its a bit weir because the way the e30 spindles and 2002 spindles secure them selves inside the diff is way different so technically are only held in by the half shaft, but there really is NO WAY they would pop out.
My way definitely works, but if you have extra money and time Andrews way is better.
            Hope that helps you guys.

Also I am not sure if you know them already, but there is a small shop in Sacramento called Auto Heaven aka Catuned. If you ever need any help with your build or need some parts hit Igor up at that shop and he will help. They are all cool guys.

                • It's going to be dead for awhile. Semester just started... I'm going to be accumulating parts for the summer rush though haha, maybe a few updates on weekends if I get a little time, but I doubt it's going to be much. Sorry people

                          • I sure this image is well known (and shopped), but the chop top and that front air damn has to bring some inspiration....

Great build otherwise just thought I'd put in my two cents.

                              • <3 your bobber...Looks like a Kawi?

I made a KZ440 hardtail bobber and it looked pretty similar to yours. Bare metal/surface rust tank, all black, drag bars, etc.. so in essence I love it ha

P.S. Just saw it was a Honda so some CB. I did my hardtail the same with shorter solid rear shock links, but the stretched true hardtail looks really good man! I like your style/work!
