TeckniX- it's actually not that bad, well the steel. Aluminum adds up quick!
mtmorto- Thanks man appreciate it. I don' think I have the heart to do this to a Tii haha, sadly I do have my limitations.
cederrowe- 17x8.5 +16 with a ~5mm spacer, rears are 17x10 +9. If you're attempting this on an 02 please read my thread. You're going to be slicing and bending a lot of shit.

Thanks Heist,i just had to spend two days reading the intire thread....
Is the dash aluminum? if so what did you weld it with?
i run old schol; 13" msw's but want to go to a more modern wheel custom subframe strut setup. I have a ton of cool parts at my shop for the 2002 but all would be custom fabbed
06 sti brembos but need a 18" wheel....maybe a pipe dream as 18" might be pushing it under rabbit flares
rear lsd from a sti.
Full setup of bilstein dualrate coilovers
m10 megasquirt turbo
love the look of your car.
Theres a f20 2002 here in portlandLast edited by cederrowe; 01-19-2013, 12:11 AM.

If you did a complete subframe swap front and rear with the sti, I could see 18" possible. Crazy amount of work, but hey anythings possible. Post up a build thread! can't wait to see any of the above come to lifeOriginally posted by cederrowe View PostThanks Heist,i just had to spend two days reading the intire thread....

Anything can be done, but you would be building a "new" car basically. The only part you could keep would be the body shell. It would be way easier for you to use an e30 rear sub frame which still needs a decent amount of fabrication to fit, and you can use a e34 5 series LSD with that... Then just buy a big brake kit and a custom drive shaft. I dont think all those Subi parts are worth your trouble.Originally posted by cederrowe View PostThanks Heist,i just had to spend two days reading the intire thread....

But on rear end topic you planning on going e30 sub heist?
The rear would be seeing 240hp?
E30 lsd capable of holding hp?????
I figure custom cv's and mounting the subaru lsd wouldnt be bad.

are you going to be painting the dash or keeping it bare to go with the engine? not sure if you have considered it or not, but i had a friend with a ally dash, and the reflection off that baby when the sun was overhead was blinding. i would suggest investing in some decent sunnies if you already havent. but im sure it will look absolutey awesome whatever you choose to do
