  • Good news, the wiring is pretty much done, radiator is in, and I just picked up a T28 from a buddy for next to nothing... Also, picked up a Vorshlag steering shaft, and going back to the drawing board on the brake booster/master setup, haha.

I should send you pictures of my booster setup....i made a bracket and mounted it in the trunk...now there's a ton of room in the engine bay. I just used a 7/8" willwood mc at the pedal and a 7/8" slave to activate the booster in the trunk.

      • That sounds like a bunch of work... I'm trying to get this running on the cheap, so I'm probably just going to go with a boosterless setup.

        • Rear subframe has finally been swapped out... It's nice to see the car no longer at gay ride height, but now I have to figure something out to get the front lower.

And minor modification to fit the shifter:

Getting some work in before the valvecover goes back on for the last time.

Tomei Poncams and rocker arm stoppers in.

All sealed up... The valvecover didn't turn out exactly the way I want, but the body shop cheaped out and still spent more doing it than I wanted to pay, so I can always re-do it later.

S14 T28 turbo is in, along with new manifold, and turbo outlet pipe... It all fits!

Closeup of clearance. Vorshlag steering shaft definitely helped with clearance. Should make the steering feel much better too.

I have none at this point. I'm coming from drifting an is300 and an sc300, both of which have nowhere near as much angle as this thing does stock... Eventually I can always do tie rod spacers or knuckle work.

                    • Very awesome, didn't expect something this legit from the first post. Can't wait for the final shots / videos of it.

It seems like what you have to work with now is going to be fine. Modding your knuckles, bump stops cut off and spacers will get you on your way to reverse-entry-hero status

love your build, update more, marry me.

                        • So the driveshaft came in from The Driveshaft Shop:

The hydro and shifter got put in:

And the car started! Still needs work, but hearing that open downpipe spewing out noise was music to my ears.

                            • This is oddly enough exactly what I've been wanting to do for my next car. I'm glad I came across this thread for future reference, the build looks badass.
