Those heater switches don't fit with the rest of the interior, they look "out of line", if you get what I mean. What kind of switches are you thinking of going with? Customizing those (sounds like a difficult task given the shape and size of them)? Or getting other ones?
Also, (don't call me captain obvious lol) your shifter is missing it's knob. What I have in mind, is this
without the shiny plastic part on the top, and wrapped in swede or another material of your choice. Another suggestion would be that since your steering wheel is from MOMO, and this shifter is from MOMO, (let's assume that you're going with this knob or a similar one from MOMO), you could work some magic and keep the logo on the knob but yet, style it up to match the rest of the interior.
Eagerly waiting for more updates

Update
Finished up late last night and was too tired to post.
At any rate, I fabricated another panel and ended up with a single unit. My challenge? Make it look simplistic, stark but not boring. Along with the new single curved panel, I tightened up the shifting port to it's bare minimum to work better with the bag, added the window switches and wrapped it again in new suede. Don't be fooled by the shadows. They are making the gaps look twice as large. They're actually only out by a fraction.
What's next? Well I'll also be slotting in a section of vinyl with two slits behind the climate controls to also tighten up that section. As well as the needed frames around both shifter and climate controls.
The area that needs attention now, is the exterior surround/frame of the entire curved panel with the new one piece design. This is what I'll be leaving exclusively for my interior guy to do. The best route, would be to replicate the depth that the central gauges and head-unit have. To do this, Terry (trimmer) can easily build up on top of the existing uneven wall (all the way around), thus, leveling and smoothing everything out for a super clean look.

Update
Continued work on the interior with new heater control knobs I sourced to match the interior. Had to relocate the entire assembly, but it all worked out well.
Then moved onto fabricating the mock template for the shifter panel - these cars' shifter is on the mid dash. Then curved it down into the center and wrapped it. The fitment is not perfect. That will get taken care of by my interior guy who will re-fabricate everything. This is just to show him the layout I'm after. More subtle switches and trim panels to come around shifter and heater controls.
Cell phone in place to show location of ITouch.

Hill climb? Seriously???
Hummmm...a car that has gone through an EXTENSIVE 4 year surgery on basically every panel, didn't get fully painted prior to testing? Why, how strange...

I love everything, except perhaps the steering wheel... Let's get a Momo in there just for the Made in Italy appeal! Just a thought, use it don't use it.
Yeah, lots of mods. More than I can count, really!! But they all have a purpose and follow functional with form. That was the challenging part.
Wheel was bought a few years ago and I see your point. Maybe I'll keep my eye out for anything that suits the styling.

[quote=haugli;504384]This car reminds me of the Eagle Speedster I saw on Top Gear. In other words, your car looks and sounds better than a half a million quid.
Thanks haugli! Interesting comparison. Not too worry, you'll hear the engine soon during the testing stages!!
