Interested to see how you shorten the M42 pan. I've been tossing around the idea of swapping an M42 into my 2002 eventually, which will be on air as well. The pan has been a bit of concern though because of how low it hangs. Is it pretty straight forward?

I'm going to take that angle out of the front to try and retain as much capacity as I can. I only have to shorten it 1.25" so It looks like I wont lose much. I'll post pics of how I cut it apart.
