I think it's time for me to share some pics of my E21 build. It's my eleventh car but my first non-veedub. I bought it three months ago in good shape just some minor things on the to do list.
What I have in mind is to keep it as much standard as possible in pure OEM style but slammed on the ground on some 16" BBS Splits with big dishes.
The day I bought it :

After solving some overheating problems due to the dirty cooling system, it was time to think about a way to lower that thing a bit. So, I bought a suspension kit made for BMW E30. I knew that they were shorter than the E21s so I had to shorten my struts about an inch.

And with the -60mm lowering spring

A small comparison of the OE suspensions and the modified one I made (85mm lower)

Then a friend of mine let me try his BBS RMs in 8 and 8,5x15 with 185/45 tyres. The aim was to calculate the ETs for me to be able to sort out what size of dishes will go under the arches of the car for my BBS splits

With a 10mm spacer

I know it's really high but I'm designing some parts to adapt coilovers from another car and as you can see, there is only 8cms under the oil pan though I'm still pretty high

Teasin' pics of the wheels that will go on the car

And yesterday, I adapted some VW Golf MK2 Rallye to fit in the rear (the car is still on jacks on the pics)

And now, it's handling pretty damn well with this suspension setup.
More to go soon when I have money
