First up, S54 swap (still a work in progress but it works and drives great) -
Got it running, MOT'd and taxed the night before a 4-day trip around Wales - EuroThrasher 2. Was a great shakedown and the car was faultless.
Then since I've been back I've been working until 10pm or later every night - met up with my mate Joey to pick up my new wheels and didn't get home until midnight the other night.
Next morning (yesterday) I got up at 6am to fit my Motorsport Hardware stud conversion - the neighbours think I'm mental.
Was on a shoot for this lastnight - George Assi's E24 635
Then, finally, got a chance to go to the tyre shop this morning and get the new wheels rubbered up. They're ex-BTCC Rays G07WTs, magnesium, 17x9 ET20 with 235/45 (f) and 255/40 (r) Goodyear Eagle F1s.
Need to get pics of it cleaned at the weekend, and also address the rubbing at the rear. But I'm really happy with how it looks!
Thank you - mechanically yes, electronically no. The ECU was converted to essentially run as a standalone ECU and the wiring was pretty complex. There are a few tricks to it and I'd possibly do it differently if I did it again but it's done now!
Nothing to really report other than going to Players. Didn't get time to clean it properly and snapped the coolant expansion hose but bodged it up and headed along.
Had the 235/45 Advan AD08s fitted on the Friday, and then put them on on Saturday.
Then parked up!
While at the show I picked up the engine cover and billet oil filter housing cover, fitted in the rain when I got home
Since then just did a bit of hanging the rear end out in the rain and that's about it!
